Blurb/Summary:

What's a witch to do when she refuses to use magic to find love? Beautiful Wiccan Charlotte Noone has a shop for magical supplies and a goddess who's pushing her to find the man of her dreams. When Patrick Riordan, a straight-laced non-believer enters her life, Charlotte falls madly in lust with him. Despite their very different lives, neither can stop the erotic journey they’ve embarked on, but will it be enough to break through their barriers so they can accept that love itself is magical?

Review:

Get ready for a magical love story, without the use of magic. Charlotte is a witch, but doesn't use magic for her own, despite a pushy goddess who wants her to find her true love. Enter Patrick, who storms into her life after he finds some witchcraft items in his sister’s room and demands that he get the money back. Patrick is a closed minded non believer, and treats his sister like a child though she's an adult.

Though after meeting, neither Patrick nor Charlotte can get each other out of their minds, and they begin to fall in love. But when a life changing incident occurs, their relationship will take the ultimate test.

I thought this story was well written, and highly enjoyable. The characters were so full of life, with such emotion that you couldn't help but feel what they are feeling. The plot was intriguing and fun. Ceri Hebert won me over in That Kind Of Magic.

Logan has been in love with Meredith for as long as he can remember. Seeing her with another had been its own brand of torture, but now that she’s free, nothing can stop him from claiming what is rightfully his.

The magnetism of Logan has never been lost on Meredith, but crossing the line between friend and lover scares her, even after dumping her slime ball ex. When Logan kisses her, an attraction like she’s never known ignites, sweeping her into an affair she can’t walk away from.

As Logan fights to win her heart, Meredith wages a battle of her own. Is she willing to admit her interest stretches way beyond merely doing Logan?

Review:

Doing Logan is a story full of fun and playfulness between the main characters, Meredith and Logan. This story sucked me in at the beginning and held me until the very end.

It’s easy to make the ex husband and the new bimbo wife seem like villains once you get to know sweet and fun Meredith. You’ll root for her to find love again with Logan.

The chemistry and love scenes will leave you panting for more in this erotic short story. I will be seeking other stories by Rhian Cahill.

Blurb/Summary:

Surrounded and imprisoned by the wild Atlantic sea...

Miranda Stephanos has a magical library, the sultry ghost of a shipwrecked pirate, and a dark and dangerous jailer to keep her company, but none of her "companions" can hide the fact that she's not free. It isn't until a storm sweeps across her island prison that her desire for freedom is fiercely augmented by her passion for her warden, Caleb Marsh, and the sexy tutelage of a swashbuckling spirit who hasn't quite abandoned his plundering ways.

Caleb Marsh won't give up his island home or the woman he aches to possess without a fight.

The most powerful sorcerer on the east coast needed a safe place to hide his daughter from his enemies. He left her with Caleb Marsh, who didn't exactly qualify as a friend but had reasons to keep Miranda safe. Unfortunately for Caleb, three years of magical servitude has only made him desire the woman he should hate.

A sorceress, her keeper, and an irresistible ghostly pirate discover a tempest of taste and touch and torment, a Perfect Storm of repressed desire set free.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, ménage (m/m/f).

Review:

Talk about turbulent. This story kept me riveted from beginning to end, with sexy incorporeal pirates, forbidden affairs and magic running rampant. I enjoyed reading this sexually erotic tale that turned into unabashed love between the two males and heroine on the high seas. I also enjoyed the setting of the book and the visualization I gained from reading it.

Blurb/Summary:

If Leo Eyler had any other way to find his enemy, he would use it. A stubborn princess doesn't suit his plans. Unfortunately, Princess Sera Placido is his only clue. The last thing she wants to do is cooperate with a Nyral Dominant who can’t keep his hands off her.

When Leo insists on running her security against the deadly Brotherhood, Sera realizes that assassins and a life-sucking planet may not be the most dangerous thing she has to deal with. Her growing passion for Leo is. For although they clash, he intends to win both her body and her heart, and she's having a hard time resisting.

If they're going to survive, Sera has to learn to submit. Leo teaches her that she's marked for desire.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, BDSM theme and elements, female/female interaction, moresome (m/f/f/m with homoerotic interaction), voyeurism.

Review:

Being a Princess is hard work, and in this story a dangerous duty. Pair that with a stubborn mindset and a potty mouth and we have Sera, a powerful deity in her own right. She needs dominance to bring balance to her life and save her from a religious faction set to kill her.

Leo is that man, and when fate transpires they can’t ignore the passion or need that inflames them to their core. Neither is prepared for the third piece in their relationship, or how he came into play, as a needed piece. The domination and submission play in this story kept my cheeks heated.

The sorrow and deaths of loved ones by masked cruelty tore at my heart. Through it all the hero and heroine kept my rapt attention with the villains running rampant.

I loved the ending and can’t wait to read more of this series.

Blurb/Summary:

Drawn to the attic in her new home, Amelia finds a saucy nineteenth-century wench dress. At first glance, it’s just a dress, but once she dons it, desire streaks through her and she’s transported to the past. Overwhelmed by lust, she is caught pleasuring herself, discovered by the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen, who turns out to be—her lover?

Amelia and Emmet join in an explosive sexual union, erasing the months—or is it centuries?—they have been apart as though they never existed. But suddenly Amelia awakes—alone.

Until the dress calls again.

Emmett’s not the only one lusting after Amelia. Lord Graham wants her and he doesn’t fight fair. He kidnaps her, sends Emmett on a deadly errand and forces Amelia to participate in his voyeuristic games. Although Amelia’s body betrays her, she vows to remain true to Emmett, but will he return? And can she escape the clutches of Lord Graham’s debauchery? Amidst subterfuge, treachery and murder, Amelia and Emmet’s love grows and they reach new heights of carnal passions.

Review:

The beginning captured me from the get go. I was totally captivated during both the previous life and present lives of Amelia and Emmet. I love a great villain and Graham was the perfect one. He made my skin crawl and although he wasn’t the same in the present life, he made it crawl all the more.

There’s something to be said about circumstance in the old days and the station of life being less than what women deserved. I loved the grit and heart in Amelia’s character and the love Emmet showed by just loving her for her. I was rooting in the present they might find one another and begin another fantastic journey.

This read is one I’ll read time and time again.

Blurb/Summary:

Jonah Grey, driven by a lust for the blood of the legendary Chupacabra that murdered the woman who was to be his mate, jumps at the offer to leave the FBI and join Night Seekers, who are dedicated to hunting and killing the devil beast.

Then Jonah encounters a woman with whom he shares explosive chemistry that neither can deny—and sex that brings a level of pleasure neither has ever known. Soon he’s dividing his time and indulging in erotic bouts of orgasmic lust with Dakota.

But the devil beast must still be dealt with, and the wolf in Jonah won’t rest until the Chupacabra is dead.

Review:

This story was chalk full of action, legends and a person’s worse fear. It was also filled with a longing that needed fulfillment and a lust so deep it turned into something more profound.

Dakota and Jonah sure had a journey on them and it made my heart soar to watch them find one another while ferreting out with assistance the beast on a killing rampage.

I couldn’t put it down once I began reading!

Blurb/Summary:

Kat doesn’t know whether or how to end her six-night-a-week party habit, not to mention her unhealthy addiction to meaningless sex. Then an accident lands her in the hospital. She wakes to find a menagerie of origami figures—and a gorgeous neurosurgeon—beside her bed. The complexity of the paper creations is nothing compared to the complexity of dark-eyed, authoritative Ryan, who seems determined to give her life some direction. Trouble is, Kat’s just as determined to resist his efforts to tame her wild side.

With persistence, Ryan draws Kat into his world of dominance and submission, where quiet commands and lengths of rope awaken needs and desires she never knew she possessed. But Ryan’s intimate, erotic shibari sessions frighten Kat as much as they excite her, for each simple knot requires infinite trust and inspires complicated emotions.

When a family crisis tests their love and threatens to snap the fragile ties that bind them, will fortune ever smile on this unlikely couple, or will fate tear them apart?

Reader Advisory: For those who subscribe to a “more the merrier” philosophy (*cough* we do *cough*), this story contains a scintillating m/f/f/m scene.

Review:

Fortune took me into the life of a lost young woman named Kat looking in all the wrong places for her place in life. Circumstance stepped in bringing her Ryan, a surgeon who knew right away she needed him to show her the way.

Through lessons on building trust, and learning how to own emotions Kat blossomed into a beautiful sub under the control of a patient and handsome Dom. The dynamics in their relationship took a pivotal change when an emergency came to light.

I enjoyed this BDSM love story and watching the D/s relationship bud and grow. The lessons were heartbreaking and heart warming to watch, the eroticism kept me riveted, but Kat and Ryan’s story stole my heart.

Tagline: Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.

Blurb/Summary:

The lives of a deranged serial killer, a seven centuries First vampire and a City of Winnipeg police detective collide in this second novel of Dawné Dominique’s The First series.

Daniella Rolfe, a seven-century First vampire is unwittingly drawn together with a City of Winnipeg police detective, who happens to be investigating a string of some rather bizarre serial murders. It doesn’t take long for her to discover that this mere mortal man holds more power over her than any she's ever known.

And Aiden…he's only dreamed about women like Daniella.

Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.

Review:

Dark Diary, II: The First definitely lives up to its name. It is dark, some parts are disturbing, and some of the tale borders on horror. Not so disturbing that I couldn’t go to sleep, but if you are looking for a paranormal romance with a dark undercurrent and a thriller aspect then this is the book.

Dawn Dominique created a world with great characters and possibilities. She has her own version of a vampire and vampire powers. The story starts as if you are reading Daniella’s diary and then are sucked into her present life and happenings. It ends as a journal entry as well, reminding you that you were getting a glimpse of Daniella’s life.

Daniella Rolf, the heroine, is written as a strong and capable woman. You will feel her loneliness and isolation. Aiden Blackmore, the hero, is written as a friendly and loving man. Aiden brings some joy and much needed company to Daniella. The characters together make a nice balance and the chemistry between them sizzles off the pages.

Daniella and Aiden are brought together through a series of crimes. They are faced with stopping a serial killer before he strikes again. The serial killer brings a bit of mystery and thrill into the tale and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Based on this story, I would check out other creations by Dawn Dominique.

Blurb/Summary:

Sequel to A Matter of Faces.

A little over two years ago, Piper met Trey, a shapeshifter who impersonated her dead boyfriend and then led her on the adventure of a lifetime. Along the way, they fell in love.

Now Trey is required to father children to sustain his race. Piper knew this day would come, but she’s not prepared to face Nadia, the shapeshifter woman first in line to have Trey’s babies.

She’s even less prepared to consider the possibility of having a child herself, knowing it’s impossible with Trey. But Nadia’s husband is human…and that’s when things get really complicated.

Publisher’s Note: Originally released in the Forever Midnight anthology.

Review:

A Matter of Duty was a quick short read. Exotic in nature it touched on some hard aspects of the constitution of marriage in the human world and mating in the shifter world. The sex was visual and extremely well written. The issues with creating life felt awkward. Guilt and unease ran rampant with each individual having bouts of jealousy. The blurb and the concept drew my interest right away but reading the story left me feeling like a voyeur out in the cold.

When she learns that her estranged husband is about to hang for a crime she is convinced he didn't commit she races to save him before it's too late.

Review:

Original and exciting, Reckless Bounty delivers! Set in a futuristic world with plenty of excitement and action, Marly Matthews brings in a strong heroine who has a lot of spunk and attitude.

It was a delight to read this story, and what an imagination this author has! The futuristic world created is descriptive and intense, but leaves plenty to the imagination of the readers. The story is full of twists and turns and with the non-stop action, the reader is taken on a wild ride until the very last page.

I would definitely look for more books by this author.

Blurb/Summary:

Struggling Thoroughbred breeder, Clint King, hasn’t been home for Christmas in five years. This year, his prize mare's due to foal any day, and in the wake of his father’s death, Clint can’t stand the idea of returning. Except, Alex is getting married on Christmas Eve, and their mother’s put her foot down. With his mare in tow, Clint prepares to meet a sister he’s never known, and Alex’s unexpected triplets. The one salvation he looks forward to is childhood companion, tomboy Jesse Saurs. Yet when he reunites with Jesse, he uncomfortably discovers she’s become all woman.

Jesse Saurs has everything she needs – financial security, a home, and a foster child who’s about to become her son. With Ethan’s final hearing scheduled just before Christmas, her dreams will come true. When she learns Clint and his brothers are returning, she anticipates a holiday reunion that’s sure to entertain Ethan. But on the night of Clint’s return, the ‘brother’ she expected leaves her trembling after a hug. Even worse, Ethan makes it clear Clint's not welcome.

Will Christmas destroy hopes and dreams, or will it become the gift they've all been longing for?

Review:

A Christmas To Believe in brought tears to my eyes. Christmas a time of magic didn’t look to be promising any miracles for Clint and his family. Through a host of circumstances true love remained unable to grow into a profound life. I hoped Clint would be able to overcome his pride and misconception on absolute perfection and that Jesse would overcome the obstacles keeping her from his side. Add in the quirky family drama unfolding and a horse about to foal and it makes for an action packed story.

This is one I’d love to read by a fire while drinking hot cocoa.

Reviewer: Sally Sapphire

Blurb/Summary:

Samhain, the ancient Gaelic term for the pagan harvest celebration has morphed in what we now know as Halloween. Major features of the holiday include costume parties in which guests portray historical figures or character types–the skimpier and sexier the costume, the more fun the party.

Gene is all decked out in his gladiator costume ready for a wild party at his friend Jim’s house on the Intracoastal Waterway. Jim is rumored to be into Satanism and witchcraft so Gene is not surprised by the larger than life-sized statue of Lucifer in the foyer. More disconcerting is the miniature replica of the devil which appears at various times as Gene enjoys the pleasures of sex with a female who turns out to be a shemale, her straight male lover, a lesbian with a strap-on dildo, her female lover, and an oversexed young twink among the assortment of guests.

Gene drinks a lot but doesn’t do drugs, so the confusion he faces as he’s brought before the Satanic statue is inexplicable; but the pain as he is impaled on the Horned One’s large hard appendage is undeniable. His mystification increases over the next few days as Gene learns the significance of his fellow guests’ costumes, the implications of his own garb, and the true nature of the Samhain events.

Kiki Howell, an established erotic paranormal author has this to say about Samhain: “But, as I continued to read, the tale got increasingly darker, which being a big fan of Halloween, I found myself slinking down in my chair much like I do when the scary music from a horror film comes on. This was not so much because I felt it was going to be scary, but as the tone deepened and the images became more demonic, I was bracing for what was to come which was heightened by his constant entwining of the paranormal and the erotic elements.”

Warnings: This title contains graphic language, m/m sex, multiple sex partners, and satanic sex.

Review:

Wow, what can I say that isn’t already summed up by the cover blurb? This is an intensely sexual story that doesn’t waste a lot of time on setting the stage. We begin with a first-person description of Gene, our narrator and sexual focal point for the story, and a quick overview of the party/orgy setting. Supremely self confident and, perhaps, a little conceited, he finds himself a seat and waits for the sexual adventures to find him.

It doesn’t take long.

With the other guests in costume, it’s a mystery as to who is joining in on the fun. The sexual activity starts out simple, if you can call a foursome with three genders and toys simple, but quickly grows in both passion and complexity. By the time the great statue of Satan is introduced, we’re just starting to become aware of the darker undercurrent to all of the sex. The sudden revelation of fear and pain as Gene finds himself impaled on Satan’s monstrous member is almost enough to jolt the reader out of the story, but it is resolved so carefully, and so quickly, that we’re drawn in deeper than ever before.

The sex here is hot and varied, with a little something to appeal to just about every kink. Fortunately, the writing is strong, which keeps the reader from becoming lost in the jumble of body parts and sexual appendages. Finally, it must be noted that the supernatural element is definitely dark, and may be off-putting to some. However, those who approach it with the right expectations certainly will not be disappointed.
