 Blurb/Summary:

The game is afoot in Ebenezer Falls, Washington, and this time someone is trying to ruin Christmas!

With twists, turns, and suspects aplenty, amateur sleuth Stevie Cartwright is determined to find a murderer and her missing familiar before the silver bells tarnish!

USA Today bestselling cozy mystery author Dakota Cassidy serves up mayhem and murder in How the Witch Stole Christmas, Book 5 of her bestselling series, Witchless in Seattle Mysteries

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas--!

Er, not so much. . .

It's Christmas, and I, ex-witch, Stevie Cartwright declare this my favorite time of year! I love the decorations! The food! The Hallmark Channel holiday specials! This year promises to be better than ever because for the first time in a very long time, I'm going to have more than just Cheez Whiz, Triscuits and the wish to be surrounded by family and friends.

My carefully planned holiday bonanza includes all the usual suspects. My bat familiar Belfry, my dog Whiskey, my ever-present ghostly spy friends--dashing Brit Winterbottom, stalwart Russian Arkady and my parents.

However, nothing comes easy for this amateur sleuth, not even a neighborhood decorating contest. You know, the one I've been painstakingly prepping for months? Something goes horribly awry with my Christmas display (think bikini-clad carolers, pink flamingos and real, live turkeys) to start.

But the worst? The dead body of the famous Chef Pascal Le June in my nativity scene!

It becomes clear someone's trying to ruin my Christmas, and that someone must pay! But when Belfry goes missing, and the danger takes on a paranormal edge, I find I have more to lose than ever before. . .

This cozy mystery has a complete cast of oddball characters from witches to ghosts and bats to psychics. Witchless In Seattle Mysteries is a spin-off of Dakota Cassidy's bestselling paranormal romance series, A Paris, Texas Romance.

Review:

If you are looking for a good mystery to curl up with on Christmas Eve, then this is it!  The gang in Ebenezer Falls, Washington does not fail to entertain.  Stevie Cartwright has entered the Ebenezer Falls Christmas decorating contest and absolutely nothing goes according to plan.  The dead guy in her nativity scene doesn’t go unnoticed, but her beautifully planned Christmas decorations are ruined!

How the Witch Stole Christmas is book five in the Witchless In Seattle series.  This book is not a cliff hanger and contains an entire story, but to get the most out of your journey with Stevie Cartwright you should read the previous stories.  Wonderful characters from the series play key roles in this book.

This book has a great plot with steady action and momentum.  Stevie Cartwright’s predicament will pull at your heart-strings and keep you reading.  Dakota Cassidy’s writing will leave you wanting more of Stevie and Winterbottom.  The cast of secondary characters and the level of snark are both highly entertaining.

Blurb/Summary:

Rylee Hale is having a hard time. As a new business owner just starting out on her own, she’s struggling to attract new clients to her paralegal business.
Then she attracts two that are way more than she can handle.

Drace and Lucian are Denarins—a race of the Twelve Peoples where two males bond together in order to join with a single female. An Alpha and a Beta make the perfect pair to attract and care for a woman in every detail of her life.

But what happens when two Alphas get wrongfully bonded? That’s the dilemma Lucian and Drace are in and only a Pure One from Earth can help them. When they see Rylee helping a couple with their divorce in the AMI viewscreen, they decide she’s exactly the female they need to break the bond between them.

Nobody asked Rylee what she thought about being abducted from her life on Earth and caught in the middle of a conflict between two huge, muscular alien males. It's okay thought--she’s a smart girl—she can handle herself. But once she gets a taste of being bonded to two sexy men who want to please her in every way, will she be able to stand by and watch them be…Severed?

Review:

This is one smoking hot alien romance book!  Severed is book four in the Alien Mate Index series.  Readers were treated to a glimpse of Lucian and Drace in Book 3 letting us know their story was coming.  It was worth the wait.

Drace and Lucian are two alpha males that accidentally get psychically bonded.  Males on their planet do bond naturally, but only an alpha and a beta.  Two alphas bonding is unheard of and “wrong” on their planet.  The only solution Drace and Lucian can fathom is breaking the bond and going their separate ways.  They have to travel to Earth to find just the right person to break their bond.

Rylee has had a long day and even longer night by the time Drace and Lucian enter the picture.  They abduct Rylee to save her, but to her it’s all a dream until she wakes up on their spaceship.  After some negotiation, Rylee agrees to help Drace and Lucian do what ever it takes to break their bond.

Their journey is fraught with danger, eminent death, and prejudices that threaten to tear them all to pieces.  Along the way somehow they learn to work as a team.  Rylee falls deeply in love with both men and Drace and Lucian treat her as a special treasure.  The problem that remains throughout the whole story is the bond between the two men.  Will they be able to sever the bond?  Will they be able to walk away from each other and Rylee?

Severed is filled with action, adventure, a few plot twists, and plenty of romance.  As a reader, Rylee, Drace, and Lucian are characters that will stay with you for a while.  They are easy to connect to and even easier to like.  Rylee, Drace, and Lucian’s romance is scorching hot and this book will have you on edge as their story unfolds.  Along the way we are introduced to several new characters and some older characters pop in from previous books.  I thought the story ended a little abruptly so I hope that we will see more of all of these characters in future books.

I highly recommend not missing Severed: Alien Mate Index Book 4 whether you are following the series or not this is an entertaining story.

 Blurb/Summary:

Desperate to pay the rent, Broadway-star wannabe Poppy McGuillicuddy is the middle of DJ-ing a Halloween party when a mishap with a cat named Calamity changes her life forever. Suddenly, she’s a familiar—as in, a witch’s familiar. Or in her case, a warlock’s. Even more specifically, a gorgeous warlock…who wants nothing to do with her. Thank God for the ladies from OOPs, who’ve promised their help as Poppy navigates her accidental paranormal powers.

Despite his last familiar leaving him bitter and disillusioned, warlock Rick Delassantos still isn’t heartless. He’s agreed to give Poppy a few days before contacting Familiar Central and demanding she be reassigned elsewhere. But barely a day is all it takes for Poppy to become the target of some seriously bad magic, forcing Rick to keep her close to ensure her safety. Not exactly a hardship, when his new familiar is as sexy as she is sassy.

With help from the Marty, Nina and Wanda, and assorted other OOPs friends, Rick and Poppy learn some important lessons—fate works in mysterious ways; things aren’t always as they seem; and sometimes the worst evil can be found close to home!

Review:

A must read for all the Accidental Series fans!  Dakota Cassidy has a way of making the characters come to life in her books so that the reader feels with them, laughing and crying out loud.  There was much more laughter than crying in this book.

Two new characters are added to the Accidental family, Poppy McGuillicuddy and Rick Delassantos.  Poppy is accidentally turned into a familiar and assigned to be Rick’s warlock familiar.  Rick is not over-joyed with the idea of having a familiar again and it takes a little bargaining on Poppy’s part to convince Rick to give her a chance.  In no time at all Poppy is smack dab in the middle of a magical crisis.

It takes all the OOPs girls, their entourage, and Rick to keep Poppy alive.  Poppy is one head-strong lady.  Nothing is going to stop her from succeeding and planning a future.  She’s hoping that there will be a certain warlock in her future, but she has to survive the magical crisis to find out.  Readers will fall in love with Rick and Poppy!

The Accidental Familiar is filled with lots of magic and mayhem.  Plenty of plot twists and turns to keep you glued to the pages.  There is also a pleasant surprise at the end.  Read the story to find out what is in store next for the OOPs girls!

Blurb/Summary:

The mission was supposed to be simple. Infiltrate an enemy’s stronghold outside Rome and eliminate its leader. For a Breed warrior as lethal as Ettore Selvaggio, AKA “Savage”, stealth assassinations are only one of his many cold-hearted specialties. But the last thing Savage expects to find behind enemy lines—in his target’s bed—is a woman he once adored.

It’s been years since Savage last saw beautiful Arabella Genova. Years he’s strived to banish to his past, along with the fierce desire he once felt toward Bella . . . and the irresistible calling of her blood that stirs in him even now, despite the fact that she belongs to another male.

But when fate throws Savage and Bella together again in a race for their lives, will his long-lost love prove to be the one woman he can’t live without, or the perfect weapon to destroy him?

Review:

Midnight Untamed is a fabulous novella of the Midnight Breed series.  This book is a wonderful addition to the series.  It is an easy read as a standalone book and gives you a glimpse of the war going on in the main series, but doesn’t bog you down with too many details.

In this book we meet Arabella Genova and Ettore Selvaggio.  Readers will enjoy the background story around these two characters and the quick progression of their present and future romance.  I fell in love with these characters and hope that they will be entwined in the main series.

There are secondary characters that help Arabella and Ettore along in their journey.  At the end the author left it open for these characters to have their own story.  I hope that happens soon!

Midnight Untamed starts out with a bang and keeps on going.  The plot moves at an easy pace with some heart stopping moments along the way.  This is a great story to jump into if you wanted to sample Lara Adrian’s writing and get a feel for the Midnight Breed series

 Blurb/Summary:

Daywalker Brynne Kirkland survived a hellish upbringing as a product of a madman's lab. Tough, driven, and devoted to her work in law enforcement, Brynne has never dared to risk opening her heart to anyone--least of all a handsome immortal from a world on the verge of war against hers.

Atlantean warrior Zael left the intrigue of his realm several lifetimes ago, along with the battles he fought as one of the queen's legion. As a free-spirited loner walking the fringe of two worlds--that of his secretive and powerful people, and the outside world belonging to mankind and the Breed--it was never his intention to return to combat and bloodshed. Nor had he imagined that he might ever be tempted into anything stronger than desire . . . until he meets Brynne.

Thrust together as allies of the Order in the fight against a diabolical enemy, Zael and Brynne embark on a mission that will ultimately force them to decide between duty to their people, and a passion that defies all bounds.

Review:

Defy the Dawn is the story of Brynne Kirkland and Ekizael the Atlantean warrior and how they come together as a couple.  I did really enjoy the story, but I felt that there was a lot of pertinent information missing.  For example, Ekizael’s (Zael) last name.  I looked back through the book and I can’t find it anywhere. Perhaps the Atlanteans to do not have last names.  An explanation would have been helpful.  Brynne is a Daywalker but, the story does not go into detail as to how or why she became a Daywalker.  It briefly goes into her background and we can only assume that is what made her a Daywalker.  I can’t remember if these things were discussed in previous books or not.  I would have thought it important to put in the book about these characters.

There are other things that were left out of this story that would have been helpful background information for people picking up the series for the first time.  Considering this is the fourteenth book in the series you can well imagine that there is a wealth of background information that could not all be included.  I would suggest reading the series in order so as not to feel lost.  There are so many characters, matings, and children that it can seem overwhelming for the newcomer.  This is not a standalone story.

This book is certainly a building block in the series and not to be missed if you are a Midnight Breed Series fan.  The mating of these two characters is a significant plot point regarding the war.  We will more than likely see more of Brynne and Zael in future installments.  Considering that the Atlanteans now know Brynne’s secrets but, her family is still in the dark, I would hope that there is more still to come in their story.

Blurb/Summary:

Ebenezer Falls, Washington…a sleepy burg or murder central?

The game is afoot...again, as amateur sleuth Stevie Cartwright plunges head first into another murder investigation. With twists, turns, and suspects aplenty, this one will keep you guessing from start to finish.

USA Today bestselling cozy mystery author Dakota Cassidy serves up mayhem and murder in The Old Witcheroo, Book 4 of her bestselling series, Witchless in Seattle Mysteries.

Just when you think you know your one-time International Man of Mystery turned ghostly confidant…

When last we met, dear friends, a man had come calling, claiming to be Crispin Alistair Winterbottom, my dead British ex-spy. A notion I'd find ludicrous, if the handsome imposter didn't, in fact, look exactly like my dead British ex-spy. But there's no time for that mystery when a quiet walk on our private stretch of beach turns up something far more pressing—another tragedy in my beloved small Washington town.

That's right. I, Stevie Cartwright, ex-witch turned amateur sleuth, have stumbled upon another murder. But this time it's closer to home, more personal, a victim who'd touched the hearts of so many in Ebenezer Falls, young and old. In fact, there's only thing more surprising than the victim…

The good man who's become the number one suspect.

Along with my Spy Guy Win, my bat familiar Belfry, our rescue dog Whiskey, and even an unexpected new friend or two, I'm jumping back into my Sherlock shoes to catch the cleverest killer yet!

This cozy mystery has a complete cast of oddball characters from witches to ghosts and bats to psychics. Witchless In Seattle Mysteries is a spin-off of Dakota Cassidy's bestselling paranormal romance series, A Paris, Texas Romance.

Review:

Every time I visit Ebenezer Falls, Washington I fall a little more in love with these characters.  Stevie Cartwright and her sleuthing antics will have you flipping the pages as fast as you can.  If this is your first trip to Ebenezer Falls don’t worry, Dakota Cassidy gives a tidy little summary at the beginning to help bring you up to speed.  However, it is a much more enjoyable journey if you know all the back story.

The Old Witcheroo takes up where book three left off.  The imposter spy is still pestering Stevie and driving her small posse nuts. Fakebottom as we come to know him is actually a sub-plot line.

We are treated to a full blown murder mystery with a very memorable character from the previous books and a newer one.  This murder and the characters involved is well thought out and very emotional.  Ebenezer Falls’ residents are emotionally invested in this murder which makes the characters seem all that more real.

Book four is not lacking in action or sarcasm.  Readers are also treated to a little romance along the way.  Win, Belfry, and Whiskey as usual play important roles in Stevie’s life and a playful new man is introduced to the crew.  This new addition brings up old questions regarding Stevie’s nemesis and what he’s really up to.

This is a full length book with a beautiful cover, but as with all the Witchless In Seattle Mysteries we are left with a small cliff-hanger to bring us back and keep the sub-plot going.  Dakota Cassidy doesn’t keep readers waiting for long so check out this series and you may be up to date by the next release!

Grav N’gol is many things. Murderer…ex-con…Alien half-breed…
And a Protector.
More than just a bodyguard, a Protector chooses a female to ward for life and swears an oath to die for her if necessary.

Enter Leah Roth. The luscious little Earth female is supposed to be just a quick surveillance gig for Grav. He’ll check on her and report back that she’s okay—it should be easy.

Only she’s not okay.

When Grav sees Leah’s abusive husband hurting her, he swings into action. Before he knows it, he has Leah aboard his ship. When he’s given a dangerous and difficult mission, Leah volunteers to come alone and help…and somehow Grav can’t say no.

But as much as he feels drawn to the lovely little human, Grav knows it can never be between them. For in his past lurks a bloody and savage secret that would turn even the most forgiving heart against him.

From his past and from his true nature Leah must be...Protected at all costs.

Review:

Protected: Alien Mate Index Book 2 is an amazing alien sci-fi romance adventure.  Book two picks up right after book one in the series.  Protected has its own plot and a sub-plot that carries over from Abducted.  You can read this book as a stand-alone, but you will enjoy it more if you read the first book.

Two of the main characters in Protected were secondary characters in book one.  Grav and Leah dominate this main plot.  Grav is sent to watch over Leah and make sure that nothing happens to her.  While watching her on Earth, he can’t help but step in and get Leah to safety.  Grav never stopped to think his actions through.  He just knew that Leah had to be protected no matter what.  Who better to keep her safe than him?

Leah hasn’t felt safe in a long time so she can’t fathom why a giant, blue alien makes her feel safe.  Leah enjoys Grav’s company and the security that he provides.  Soon she’s wanting more than just security from Grav.  Leah wants to feel all over and she wants Grav to help her.

Grav and Leah dance around each other.  Neither wanting to push the other into an uncomfortable situation.  Evangeline Anderson does such a fantastic job of growing their relationship that the reader can’t help but fall in love with these characters.  It’s a wonderful journey about building up trust while falling in love.

Of course there are many trials and tribulations that Grav and Leah must face together.  I won’t give away spoilers, but you will see some returning characters that feed the main plot.  Then there is the sub-plot with the villain.  I absolutely loved the way Evangeline Anderson portrayed the returning villain.  While reading in bed, I laughed so hard I woke my husband up.

Protected is a paranormal romance with humor, action, and great imagination.  I highly recommend this series.

 Blurb/Summary:

It’s been a while since Nina Statleon—ex-coffin lover, current chicken wing lover—lost her vampire mojo during a particularly brutal OOPS case. Her friends Wanda and Marty are worried. Nina clearly hasn’t dealt with the emotional fallout caused by losing one’s immortality. She’s got issues. Big issues.

And it’s time to call in the Big Gun—Paranormal Psychologist January Malone. Her friends will get Nina to the therapist’s office, even if they have to lure her with last bag of Cheetos in Manhattan.

Of course, the girls couldn’t possibly know that Doctor Malone has an agenda. A forced agenda involving blackmail, which may just save one life…while ending another. It goes against everything January, a white witch, has ever believed in, personally and professionally.

But the alternative means putting her trust in a foul-mouthed ex-vampire, her werewolf and halfsie friends, a demon, a zombie, a bear and their assorted mates…

Yikes!

***Author Note: This is an Accidental Quickie and shorter in length than prior novels in the series.***

Review:

How Nina Got Her Fang Back is the thirteenth book in the Accidental Series.  It is a novella so expect a shorter book, but don’t worry it still packs a mighty punch.  Without giving away spoilers, How Nina Got Her Fang Back is a must read for all you die-hard Accidental Series followers.  Nina’s book will bridge the gap between the last full length and the next novel.  Things happen that you don’t want to miss out on knowing before the next book!

How Nina Got Her Fang Back will delight you with Nina’s very colorful use of the English language.  If you have delicate sensibilities when it comes to foul language then skip this book or suck it up for the fun story.

Even when the OOPS ladies set out to help one of their own, it’s never just about them.  They have a greater impact on their community in this edition.  Paranormal council politics play a role in the outcome of this HEA ending.  We never really had to deal with the Council in previous books.  This book takes a closer look at the politics and the players.  However, it’s not all about politics, we meet some new paranormals with problems and the OOPS girls swoop in to help.

I really enjoyed January Malone, her love interest, and the role that she played throughout this story.  The OOPS girls’ mates are on stage more in this book.  They’ve been on the back burner lately so it was good to see them again.

The plot is fast moving with engaging characters and plot twists that will have you glued to the pages until the end.  I highly recommend you read this story before the next Accidental book.

 Blurb/Summary:

New York Times Bestseller Dianna Love wraps up the exciting Slye Temp romantic thriller series with FATAL PROMISE, Gage and Sabrina’s story that readers have been asking for since the beginning.

When a rogue CIA assassin threatens her Slye Agency family, Sabrina goes after him before he can harm another person on her team. She’s armed, dangerous and in no mood to take prisoners, but the lead she follows exposes the tip of a deadly international threat and adds a new name to the rogue agent’s hit list… Gage, Sabrina’s former CIA handler--and lover.

Gage has waged war on Sabrina’s emotional walls over the past year after she returned from being betrayed during a bloody mission that left her suspicious of everyone in the agency, starting with him. There’s a contract on her head, but keeping Sabrina safe until he can terminate the threat is easier said than done. As one of the deadliest operatives he’s ever met, Sabrina bends to no one’s will. No woman has ever gotten to him the way she has and he wants her back in his arms, but that isn’t going to happen unless they survive this mission. With only one hope of stopping a megalomaniac from starting a third world war, survival depends upon Gage convincing Sabrina to trust him in every way, including her heart.

*This is the final book in the Slye Temp series, but there will be a new romantic suspense series - HAMR Brotherhood - which will include Slye Temp characters who still have more story to tell.

Review:

Fatal Promise is a fantastic conclusion to the Slye Temp Series by Dianna Love.  If you have been following this series then you will have an understanding of the story line that has prevailed throughout all the books.  Fatal Promise nicely wraps up the Orion Legacy plot line leaving the reader very satisfied.

We get to see all our favorite characters from previous books make an appearance to help out Sabrina and Gage put down a threat to all of their safety.  There is non-stop action from the very beginning until the end which kept me glued to the pages.  The plot is fast moving and fraught with danger.  There are some heart-stopping and heart-pounding situations that Sabrina and Gage find themselves in.

All that adrenaline leads to some steamy scenes between Gage and Sabrina.  They have to work off that excess energy somehow!  Between the gun fights, kidnapping, and burglary the reader is left hanging as to how these two could possible compose a relationship that could last.

Gage and Sabrina are two peas in a pod with their stubborn attitude and protective streaks a mile long.  When they partner to thwart their common enemy the two have to do some soul searching and face the emotions they have both kept locked up out of fear.  All the drama makes for a wonderful romantic suspense.

I highly recommend Fatal Promise and the Slye Temp Series, you will not be disappointed.

Ebenezer Falls, sleepy fishing village or murder central? The game's afoot in Dewitched from USA Today bestselling cozy mystery author Dakota Cassidy as Stevie, the powerless witch (or is she?), her bat familiar Belfry, and resident British ghost spy Winterbottom, hunt for a killer. Book 3 of the Witchless In Seattle Mysteries is a thrilling whodunit, and this time, it's personal!

I, ex-witch Stevie Cartwright, do hereby solemnly swear to avoid future murder-mystery shenanigans, nosiness, tomfoolery, and any further crazy killer inflicted pain to my person, so help me goddess…

Hah! Like I could help myself? But after busting my butt (literally!) on the last murder case in my beloved hometown of Ebenezer Falls, WA, I could use a nice long break. I was determined to take the time to enjoy the company of my bat familiar, Belfry; my British ex-spy ghost, Win; our adorable St. Bernard rescue, Whiskey; and of course our gorgeous home, Mayhem Manor, freshly and lovingly renovated.

Until shazam—a dead man invites himself to our fancy housewarming party! When my mother's husband number five ends up deep-sixed in my parlor, it's not like I can't NOT try to solve this mystery, right? Especially if I ever want Mom to leave so I can get back to my semi-peaceful existence.

But our work is definitely cut out for us this time. With Belfry's rascally bat family visiting and the two hundred or so guests, acrobats, mimes, cooks, catering staff, orchestra members—and a surprise guest who throws me for a loop in the house—suspects sure aren't a problem.

Looks like it's time for another spirit-filled, witchless adventure in Ebenezer Falls!

This cozy mystery has a complete cast of oddball characters from witches to ghosts and bats to psychics. Witchless In Seattle Mysteries is a spin-off of Dakota Cassidy's bestselling paranormal romance series, A Paris, Texas Romance.

Review:

Dewitched is a smashing good read!  It starts out with a bang and the fireworks just continue throughout the book.  There was non-stop action and sleuthing on Stevie’s part.  She is accompanied by her ghost spy, Win, as she tries to solve the murder before another innocent is sent to jail.  The reader is treated to plenty of surprises in this third book of the series.

Readers finally get to meet Stevie’s mom the illustrious and illusive Dita Cartwright.  Dita’s part in this plot adds spark and controversy galore.  Belfry’s family drops in for a visit and adds to the chaos that is Mayhem Manor.

This is a not to be missed addition to the Witchless in Seattle series.  The story can be read as a standalone, but you will get more out of the adventure if you have read the previous books.  Dewitched also adds to the series and builds up to the next book.

Dakota Cassidy does a wonderful job of creating fun characters in a story tied together with humor and adventure that will have you glued to the pages.
