Blurb:
Miss Selena Barnes is the University campus librarian. If a student is falling behind or if a Professor needs research assistance, she will gladly lend her expertise.  She likes giving personalized attention to anyone that needs her. Wearing stiletto boots and short skirts, Miss Barnes will fulfill your every fantasy and more. Don’t be shy, step right up and ask her for help. She’s more than happy to hold a specially tailored study session with you.

Excerpt:
The leather couch is in my office for the nights I have had to work late and it provides a very comfortable relaxing, space when the need arises. Knowing it is positioned so Seth can see me, I stretch on my tiptoes for a book on the top shelf of the bookcase. The movement caused my skirt to inch up and my sweater to tighten even more. I knew he was appreciating the view.

Just as I had a hold on the book, I lost my grip and it fell to the floor. Bending over to give him an ample view of my backside and a glimpse of my soaked, black panties, I picked up the book. Turning around, I saw Seth adjusting himself in his very snug jeans.

“Oh Seth, it looks like we have found another problem. Would you like my help with that, also?”
With understanding in his eyes, “Yes, Miss Barnes,” he replied in a whisper.

Blurb/Summary:

Clans of Kalquor 5.  Dani Watson is a sex slave on the planet of Dantovon.  Having escaped post-Armageddon Earth, she’s resigned to spending several years working in a brothel to pay off her slave contract.  Her one consolation is that she avoided being captured and enslaved by the Kalquorians.  When a Kalquorian clan buys her contract, Dani attempts escape.  Crashing on a remote moon puts her life in jeopardy, leaving her and the clan of Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero fighting for survival in a hostile environment.  Worse still, they’re being hunted by a group of brutal Tragooms who are determined to capture Dani and subject her to a fate worse than mere slavery.

Review:

Alien Slave is a captivating, futuristic, erotic romance story.  If you like science fiction, fantasy, and lots of hot alien sex, this story has it all.

As a reader, it was easy to connect with the characters.  I found myself really enjoying their differences and similarities.  In the beginning, the feeling you get is that the Kalquorians are so different from Earthers they couldn’t possibly be compatible.  As the story progresses and the character’s pasts are revealed, it’s hard not to see that love, belonging, and feeling protected are universal things needed by all.

Dani is a young heroine that came from a privileged background.  She’s made a lot of mistakes along the way trying to survive and find her own way.  She shows strength and courage while still remaining vulnerable.  Dani is one messed up heroine that was fun to read.

The three heroes, Gelan, Wynhod, and Krijero all have something unique to bring to the relationship that evolves between the four.  It was a pleasure getting to know them as individuals and how they worked as a clan.  Tracy St. John does not leave the reader wanting for an alpha male.  She provided three fantastic specimens.

This is a very imaginative and descriptive story where the author has created different worlds and beings.  I found it a little hard in the beginning to follow the naming of the Kalquorians.  It took a while to realize that the first part of the name is actually their job description.  The excerpt and cover drew me to this book, but I didn’t realize that it is number five in a series.  Alien Slave reads fine as a standalone book, but I’m betting there is some back story to be had in the other books.  It just makes me want to pick those up now too.

Overall, it was a great story with lots of action and a plot that kept me turning the pages.  Not to mention the hot, erotic love scenes that will leave you wanting more of these characters.

Blurb/Summary:

We've all known those people who seemed a little strange, a little weird. Your third-grade teacher. The old man down the street. People you were sure just couldn't have been human.

You were right.

A Glimpse Beyond The Veil shows you the world hidden from us, the world of demons and goblins, wizards and monsters who live under our very noses. Watch through anthropologist Kyle Perrin's eyes as this world explodes with violent, horrific, and sometimes erotic drama.

A believer in the potentials of the unknown, Dr. Kyle Perrin – fringe anthropologist, traveler, and theorist – never expected to be given the opportunity to explore that unknown directly. But when a detective asks for his advice regarding a mysterious pair of coins found in the eyes of a weeks-dead corpse, he becomes hurled into a waking nightmare, guided by a stoic former Army ranger and an enigmatic benefactor. What begins as a grisly investigation becomes personal once Gina, Dr. Perrin's street-walking lover, gets entangled in the mire, hurtling them all toward a nail biting showdown.

A Glimpse Beyond The Veil is merely the first of a series of supernatural, erotic thrillers soon to be offered by Gabriel Daemon.

Warnings: This title includes the use of dark magic, dealing with the undead, and prostitution.

Review:

A Glimpse Beyond the Veil is an interesting adult version of a Spiderwick styled tale. While the summary does mention many other-worldly creatures, this tale actually only deals with zombies and the individual animating them. Gabriel Daemon's story seems as though it may be the first instalment in a future series of tales about Dr. Kyle Perrin's adventures with the group known as the Veil Society.

A Glimpse Beyond the Veil would then become Kyle's first indoctrination into the Veil Society and the beings from the other side of the veil. I do not know if that is the case, but I did get that feel while reading this story.

On its own, this is an interesting tale. Due to Dr. Perrin's loss of an arm 10 years before, he only feels comfortable at this stage in his life visiting hookers. By the end of the story, he seems to have found his confidence and moved on. The tale ends with his evolution from a somewhat sad professor into a man who may become a team leader for the Veil Society.

I did feel that a deeper explanation was required for the opening chapter when Kyle loses his arm. There is mention at that time that he is a follower of his current professor's indoctrination. Also that society feels his current professor is a crackpot. Then there is the accident in the amazing domed chamber during which his professor seems to die. No clear explanation is made about what it is that Kyle and the professor were trying to prove and no further mention is made about the wondrous domed cave or possibly the creature that may or may not have been in it.

Aside from that, the story was well written and enjoyable. The opening to what may become a series of tales about a team that protects unknowing humans from the dangers of the supernatural. I would say this is a “get to know the man” before he actually becomes The Man story. A Glimpse Beyond the Veil was an easy read and I would recommend it to fans of the supernatural. Enjoy.

Blurb/Summary:

Book 2 in the Power and Pain series

Stephen just needs a little time to himself. He’s tired of sharing every emotion with everyone in Sanctuary. He longs for privacy so he leaves the clan enclave. When Stephen is attracted to a human woman who likes rough sex, he decides to ignore all the rules he’s been taught.

Darla stands tied to a tree at an isolated campsite. She’s always longed to explore her dark side with a strong, dominant man. Stephen is sexy as hell, but he’s hard and controlling. She’s starting to question her decision to meet him in this isolated spot. He might be more than she can handle.

Stephen knows it’s dangerous, but really, this is something he does very well. What could be the harm in fulfilling Darla’s BDSM fantasies? He just has to maintain control of his powerful sexuality—not go too far—and he can show her how a little pain can enhance her pleasure.

Review:

Outside Sanctuary is an intense erotic story with a BDSM element. Stephen leaves Sanctuary to find some peace and quiet in his own head. Instead he meets Darla, a human. The attraction is instantaneous for both of them.

Darla’s tired of safe and gentle sex. She’s looking for someone that can take control and give it to her rough. Stephen’s so excited that he’s found a human that shares his desires for rough sex. In fact, he’s so excited he continually ignores all his clan rules.

Stephen finds out the rules are there for a reason, but he lets Darla share in his world for a little while. Their sex scenes are hot, erotic, and descriptive. I found the ending to be realistic of a one night stand or quickie.

Cyna Kade did a nice job with this short story about a clan member’s exploration beyond Sanctuary.

Blurb/Summary:

Nicholas Webster is a young, handsome and very successful lawyer. He has an extremely comfortable life and can afford anything his heart desires. However, there is something missing. Excitement? Danger? Pleasure? Therefore it is fortuitous that he meets Edmund Phillips, a very successful older man, who takes a shine to Nicholas. When Edmund invites Nicholas to a secret and very private “Gentleman’s Club” Nicholas doesn’t know what to think. “It doesn’t sound like my kind of club,” he says, and yet somehow he finds himself at the worn and weathered door to the mysterious club.

Once inside Nicholas finds himself exposed to a world he could never have imagined. A world where each man is hotter than the last. Where every sexual desire, every fantasy, is fulfilled. There is nothing taboo and the word ‘no’ is not allowed. It truly seems like paradise.

But the club holds a deadly secret.

There are no free lunches. If ever there was an adage that was 100% true it is this one. Nicholas makes a shocking discovery and Mr. Edmund Phillips is at the very heart of it. Suddenly Paradise doesn’t seem quite so apt a name for the exclusive club. And when he is caught talking to the coat check boy about what he has found he wishes he had never met the charismatic Mr. Phillips. Never enjoyed the pleasures of Club Paradise. Never gone behind the waterfall.

Warnings: This title contains graphic language and descriptions of various sex acts including rimming, anal sex and pissing.

Review:

Club Paradise is erotica and horror mixed into one twisted tale! It is a quick and fast paced story with extremely strong and descriptive sex scenes.

The undertones for the Garden of Eden are evident, but instead of the apple it is virile young men and greed. The story has a wicked plot twist near the end that was unexpected. It’s hard not to feel bad for Toby and Nick, but they took part in paradise and paid the price.

Club Paradise will keep you interested from beginning to end. However, please take the publisher’s “warning” seriously when deciding if this is the story for you.

Blurb/Summary:

Mozelle “Mouse” Vincent inherits money, a club and her boss’ son as a business partner when society leader Regine Stuart dies. Torin Stuart knows what his late mother’s wishes were for his exclusive BDSM club, Erotically Bound, but he’s pissed that he’s forced to trust Mouse—especially when her inherently submissive nature arouses the sexual Dominant in him. After baring all in a heated, intense scene, Mouse realizes they still have to work together, but now Tor challenges any business suggestion she makes. When she wants to offer education classes, Tor dares her to organize the class and participate—as a submissive. To his chagrin, Mouse agrees, but he can’t stand the thought of any other Dom touching her. Suddenly there’s far more at stake than the controlling interest in their club…because love is the ultimate prize in their power exchange.

Review:

Quite simply put—I loved it.

Ms. Hawley creates a multifaceted world that keeps you guessing and turning the pages.

Regine Stuart has a legacy to pass to her successors after a long, hard battle against cancer. She passes this on to her loves ones in the form of her last will and testament, delivered to her son, Tor and assistant, Mouse by a lawyer. It is complete with instructions for manning a business venture together. And if they couldn’t play nice together, the ramifications would be that they both lost everything.

This story shows a loving relationship between mother and son. What happens when Regine takes Mouse into her employment and comes to care for her like a daughter. In return, this woman treats the parental figure with adoration and respect.

Even though the polished mastermind was never “on stage,” the lead’s deceased mother, Regine Stuart was filled with spunk and fire. I greatly enjoyed how she played the main characters like pawns she wanted nothing but the best for. And she did know these two—almost, if not better than they knew themselves.

At its heart, Controlling Interest was a love story at its finest. The fast developing passion Tor and Mouse feel for one another is awe inspiring, and their journey to get to the pivotal point in their relationship will take you for a ride with them. You will go through the realistic realm of a Master and his Sub that Ms. Hawley has inked. You will see aspects to the world of BDSM displayed with perfection and sensitivity, with just the right touch of back-story to give you an insider’s look into the characters and who they are today. This addition to the series has thoroughly earned the Five Siren Stones I’ve given it.

Controlling Interest is a fetish fairy tale come true. In the future, I will without a doubt, be pursuing more in Ms. Hawley’s 1-800-DOM-help Series!

Tagline: Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.

Blurb/Summary:

The lives of a deranged serial killer, a seven centuries First vampire and a City of Winnipeg police detective collide in this second novel of Dawné Dominique’s The First series.

Daniella Rolfe, a seven-century First vampire is unwittingly drawn together with a City of Winnipeg police detective, who happens to be investigating a string of some rather bizarre serial murders. It doesn’t take long for her to discover that this mere mortal man holds more power over her than any she's ever known.

And Aiden…he's only dreamed about women like Daniella.

Blood battles and broken vows are just the beginning of Daniella Rolfe’s woes.

Review:

Dark Diary, II: The First definitely lives up to its name. It is dark, some parts are disturbing, and some of the tale borders on horror. Not so disturbing that I couldn’t go to sleep, but if you are looking for a paranormal romance with a dark undercurrent and a thriller aspect then this is the book.

Dawn Dominique created a world with great characters and possibilities. She has her own version of a vampire and vampire powers. The story starts as if you are reading Daniella’s diary and then are sucked into her present life and happenings. It ends as a journal entry as well, reminding you that you were getting a glimpse of Daniella’s life.

Daniella Rolf, the heroine, is written as a strong and capable woman. You will feel her loneliness and isolation. Aiden Blackmore, the hero, is written as a friendly and loving man. Aiden brings some joy and much needed company to Daniella. The characters together make a nice balance and the chemistry between them sizzles off the pages.

Daniella and Aiden are brought together through a series of crimes. They are faced with stopping a serial killer before he strikes again. The serial killer brings a bit of mystery and thrill into the tale and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Based on this story, I would check out other creations by Dawn Dominique.

Alicia lived with a man who used her to further his legitimate financial climb in the corporate world. Every day she hated him more. Blake spent a cool million to get to know her for one evening. Will their love grow into a win/win result? Or will it be no deal?

Review:

Though this is stated as a romantic suspense, No Deal is not the traditional romance book type. The heroine starts out married, though in a loveless, abusive relationship. When Blake, the hero of the story places a bid on Alicia in an auction for a night, that's when things begin.

Her husband is a deceitful, hateful man who means to only get what he wants from his wife and that's her money. Blake and Alicia are now in a dangerous game against her husband.

I found this to be a very fast paced all around good read. There's plenty of action and suspense and hardly was there a scene that slowed the book down. There were a few formatting and editing issues, but they did not take away from the story too much.

I am interested in other tales by Christy Poff.

Blurb/Summary:

Sheltered Persephone, Goddess of Spring, never gets to do anything— thanks to the suffocating love of her mother, Demeter. Sephie is being carefully groomed to follow in the footsteps of the two “virgin” goddesses, Athena and Artemis, and while they sure do have a lot of fun together, she longs for something deeper—and darker. When Aidon, the God of the Underworld—generally known as Hades—appears in his chariot to claim Persephone for his bride, the young goddess gets more than she wished for.

Held captive in the Underworld, she suddenly longs to return to the safety and security of her mother’s protection, but the dark and commanding Aidon binds her to him, claiming her bit by glorious bit as his own. Her coming of age is one of sexual awakening as she learns the bondage her new master imposes fulfills her darkest desires. Persephone finds herself submitting to and obeying Aidon’s command and discovers being taken and consumed in the heat of passion by a man—a god—is what she was truly made for. Persephone can’t deny her own nature, or her growing feelings for Aidon, as she submits to his domination and surrenders as his wife and prepares to rule as his Queen.

As she finally admits her own feelings, Persephone faces the looming specter of her history, which threatens to shatter the newly formed bonds between the couple. She must now face not only her past, but her present, and her future—no longer only the Goddess of Spring, but also as the wife of Aidon and Queen of the Underworld—and the choices she will be forced to make will change the world forever.

Review:

Warning, this read is white hot! Scorching. Please read with a misting fan close by. I was thoroughly entranced by this fantastic read!

I felt for Persephone in her change of circumstance and shuddered at the thought of being underground surrounded by death. What a captivating picture of two diverse worlds.

Ms. Kitt held my attention with this read, a woman finding herself and her needs and a man caring for and helping his wife accept herself, and the world awaiting her position as their Queen.

Previous Book: Kidnapped

Alex and Haley had a perfect relationship. They were madly in love and engaged to be married. But when Lucian enters there life they both start to realize that something was missing…him. The three of them must work together to solve a case. Alex and Haley are humans while Lucian is the vampire tracking a vampire committing murders. Lucian tells the pair that they are all three life mates.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, ménage (m/m/f).

Review:

This book will captivate you from the first line. I started reading and finished this short novel in less than an hour because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I wanted to know how Alex and Haley would accept Lucian into their union. I couldn’t wait to see them together as pairs and then as a threesome.

Alex is a sweet guy, he love’s foreplay; he loves to make his woman happy. Lucian is more spicy and possessive, sometimes he loves it rough. Haley is a woman who desires both and now she can have that with both of her men.

Ms. James is an author I have loved for a while, her books always entertain and she definitely didn’t disappoint this admiring fan. I’m always looking for more of her work.

Not only was this a spicy erotic tale centered around sex and sharing your emotions around sex, but it offered drama and real problems. I love that with erotic romances. I love the steamy sex scenes as well as the chase to find the bad guy or fix a broken heart or fix a past mistake. You can find so many dynamics with this book. If you love vampires, love and sex than you will most certainly love this book.

Thank you Jade James for another pleasurable read.

Once a woman’s deepest, darkest desires have been exposed—whetting her appetite for taboo pleasures of the flesh—her unquenchable hungers will not be denied.

Floggers and whips
Chains and leather restraints
Erotic rewards and punishments…oh my!

Seduced by erotic stories and the forbidden lure of Dominance and submission, Evie Sloan longs to explore the scintillating delights firsthand. While some fantasies are better left to the imagination, for the chance to visit a real BDSM club, she’s willing to take a risk.

Been there, done that, seen it all—or so jaded Dominant Niko Kovalenko thought. Evie’s arrival on the scene reawakens long-dormant passions and ramps them up to a whole new level. She’s an exciting challenge, a dangerous temptation, igniting the compulsion to posses. To collar.

Evie is no man’s submissive pet. Niko strips her bare, sheds light on all her secret desires and weaknesses, but it’s still not enough for him. To win her man, she’ll have to confront her fears and find a way to bridge the distance between them.

Review:

Evie secretly has fantasies of things that she thinks are better off hidden. But when she is exposed to some of the things that she desires most, there is no holding her back.

Now she has a chance to go to a real BDSM club, and she won't let anything stop her. What she doesn't expect is Niko, and while he is fulfilling her deepest desires, can she fully let go?

Niko is bored; no other way to put it. That is, until he sees Evie, now he wants things he hasn't for a long time. Niko will not accept anything half way. He wants all or nothing.

Can Evie prove to Niko that she will fight for him, no matter what the cost?

Nicole Austin has written a sensually dark and erotic story of trust and wild desire that leaves you wanting more. You will love the dark and so very sexy, Niko and the things he teaches Evie about herself and her desires.

This is a story that will be in you read again list for quite some time.
