Review:

Owning Wednesday by Annabel Joseph was one gut wrenching emotional read. One I loved from page one to the end. The dynamics of BDSM and D/s are not easily explained or understood. Yet as the pages turned and I was able to see all three characters and the deep insight to the very core of them insight dawned into a beautiful thing.

Vincent comes off as an overbearing and almost abusive Master. I almost worried that he was too much for Wednesday and that she needed to get out. I was wrong but wouldn’t know it until much later.

When Daniel came into the picture there was a glimmer of radiance brought out in Wednesday that Vincent never got from her. From his reaction it was plain to see. I loved the gentle loving side of Daniel but disliked the other side, the possessive one. I wasn’t sure how Wednesday would act, with her past issues and abandonment issues from Vincent’s departure in her life. All of it seemed to turn into a cataclysmic disaster, one I wondered if it had a happy ever after.

I think in this time Wednesday had too much time to herself and never was I so glad to see her Dom come back in and pull her back into her comfort level. The passion in this story surged white hot, the emotional tangle of any relationship had me holding my breath, sheer stubbornness on both parts and a coming to terms with the third party eventually deescalated, love kept them together.

I enjoyed this read on a multitude of levels and can’t wait to read the next work by Annabel Joseph.

Review: Firebird is one of those books that surprise you- in a good way. Being a new reader in the BDSM category, I admit I was slightly hesitant. But as each page turned, I found myself more and more engaged by the story, and by Jackson and Prosper. Even as a Dom, Jackson is emotional, kind and caring, and reading about the pairs’ journey into love was amazing. Jackson handpicked Prosper to dance the lead in “Firebird”, despite the protests of others. But he knew there was just something about her. His attraction to her was instant. Then, the two begin a no strings physical relationship, but both Jackson and Prosper soon find that they feel more than they were willing to admit in the beginning. Emotional, erotic, and all around a great read. I read this quickly and enjoyed every bit of it. I will be looking for more writing from Annabel Joseph.

Fortune took me into the life of a lost young woman named Kat looking in all the wrong places for her place in life. Circumstance stepped in bringing her Ryan, a surgeon who knew right away she needed him to show her the way.

Through lessons on building trust, and learning how to own emotions Kat blossomed into a beautiful sub under the control of a patient and handsome Dom. The dynamics in their relationship took a pivotal change when an emergency came to light.

I enjoyed this BDSM love story and watching the D/s relationship bud and grow. The lessons were heartbreaking and heart warming to watch, the eroticism kept me riveted, but Kat and Ryan’s story stole my heart.

Deep In The Woods is a great psychological power trip that you won’t want to miss! Annabel Joseph did a fantastic job of giving us a peek into the BDSM world. The author shows us the dominant/submissive lifestyle, and what happens with a good and bad dominant in charge. This story is a great example of how the smallest of choices in our lives can have an enormous impact later.

Sophie finds the strength to leave a very bad dominant/submissive relationship. Unfortunately, the relationship leaves her scarred in more ways than one. She doesn’t think she’s ready for a new relationship, until Dave comes along at just the right time. However, even her loving Dave can’t heal her mind.

Dave can show her what it is to have a healthy dominant/submissive relationship with love. Not only is there a great relationship going on between the two, but we also get to experience their ménage a trios with Ryan. Ryan, Dave’s best friend, just helps to reinforce Sophie’s confidence that she can surrender and feel safe with the right dominant.

Sophie has an emotionally moving and dark secret, kept hidden even from herself. Sophie’s secret is obviously extremely upsetting, as evidenced by the nightmares, but Annabel Joseph hides it well until she wants it revealed. The plot twists and turns will keep you guessing and reading.
