Blurb/Summary:

[Mountain Men of West Virginia]

Pregnant and down on her luck, professional chef Grace Dannon finds herself employed as well as living rent free—thanks to a generous friend. With this new lease on life, anticipating the new arrival, she has one rule: no men, ever, in her life again.

Recently relocated from his native West Virginia, building contractor RoyLee Hardison has sworn off women. All women. Lonely for a decent bed and starved for good home cooking, he jumps at his employer’s offer of a free home while he's in town.

No one told Grace or RoyLee the offers came with strings: sharing the same house. The most unexpected things can happen when two people live under one roof.

Review:

His Saving Grace is such a beautiful story! It's what true romance is all about- unexpected surprises, and finding love where you least expect it. Neither Grace nor RoyLee were looking for love, and they started out as great friends when they learned that they'd be roommates. But neither could complain. The set up was great, and it's a good thing they got along so well. Grace is pregnant and doesn't want a new man in her life after the fiasco she just went through. RoyLee has had issues of his own and is now focusing on other aspects of his life. But after living together for awhile, and going through things together, these friends become much more than that.

His Saving Grace is a touching, wonderful romance. Kudos to Ellen Dye for writing such a splendid tale. And when I see this authors name on a book, I'll be sure to add it to my cart.

Are you looking for a contemporary romance that will touch your heart, has soul, and reminds you the roots of a traditional romance story? Don't miss His Saving Grace.

Blurb/Summary:

Jillian has a five-octave voice, a singing gig at a diamond exhibition in Hong Kong and a nonexistent sex life. During the flight to Hong Kong, she meets an electrifyingly sexy stranger. She’s never experienced sexual energy so intense. She falls deeply into a charged affair with many firsts—first orgasm, first-time sex in a bathroom stall, first time throwing all caution to the wind. He’s the best lover she’s ever had—and unbeknownst to Jillian, he’s also the most deadly.

Parker can control and harness electricity. It makes him a talented thief. Until he meets Jillian. His ability goes haywire and sparks are flying, literally. Seducing her out of her clothes while trying not to kill her is a challenge he’s willing to take. Jolt by sensual jolt, he breaks through her sexual inhibitions. Lust, not love, is his goal. He plans to steal diamonds, not her heart.

But with sex so powerfully addicting, even the best-laid plans can change.

Publisher’s Note: Previously published elsewhere, and has been revised and expanded for Ellora’s Cave.

Review:

Sextricity by Amy Redwood was one smoking hot read. I am a goner for strong heroines and sexy as sin heroes. Parkers’ preferred job choice and mysterious air added great intrigue to the story. I loved his cocky and bad boy persona and his gift of manipulating energy forces. He was that go get what you want man every woman dreams of.

Jillian tickled me. On stage she ruled but in privacy she was afraid to voice her wants and needs. Watching Parker coax her out of her own shadow was as great as reading her talented voice enthral an audience. Add in danger, criminal activity and two people magnetically drawn together in an unbreakable spell, glittering jewels and finding that love is the priceless art everyone covets made the story for a grand read.

Blurb/Summary:

Previous Book: The Lost Locker

A casualty of funding wars and an overzealous Defense Department trying to clean up its reputation after several failed experimental programs, the Psychic Warfare Program (PWP) is scrapped in the throes of its infancy. Its participants are transferred to other defense agencies, but a few decide to leave the government behind, knowing full well their freedom hinges on keeping a low profile and living under the radar.

Ex-PWP agent Noah First is grudgingly settling into life as a civilian when his boss assigns him one of those cases, like the ones he used to do for the government. Given the job of tracking down a stolen painting, Noah finds more than he bargained for when murder is involved. It's his power to see the past in places where emotions run high, and when he tracks the painting down to a touristy mining town, he lands in serious trouble.

Not only does the town's history shout at him with his every step, but he learns firsthand the room he's renting used to be in a bordello, and the inn's manager is the spitting image of the sexy woman in the painting. Noah is increasingly drawn to her, and to the dark needs he normally keeps buried. But are his intense feelings for Lara real, or just an echo of the past? And when he finds the painting, can he take it back to its rightful owner when someone in town will do whatever it takes to keep it, including murder?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: some light bondage and D/s, and violence.

Review:

RetroCog by Marie Hart took me on a journey of danger, passion, murder, and an article to find connecting the past with the present. Marie Hart never fails to keep me hooked with her talent for spinning fabulous stories of intrigue and concepts that keep the pages turning.

Noah begrudgingly takes on an assignment that will change his life. From past to present, I felt like I was watching a movie reel come to life through his eyes. When Lara enters sparks of unexplainable attraction fly. In her journey to run the shop and his journey to solve a puzzle, they’re led on a dangerous path. A serial killer in plain sight, a painting to find, lust to explore and clues to find. This story kept my heart racing with blinding passion, ghosts of the past and the terror filled moments where I wasn’t sure who would win out in the end.

Elaborating more would tell the story and that would be a crime on my part. This is one book I will pick up and read a second and even third time.

Blurb/Summary:

To hell with her critics; Taryn James is going to make it in the songwriting industry. If only Brian Macovney weren’t standing in her way. Gorgeous he may be, but he’s also nasty, trampling on her dreams by insulting her lyrics and all because he once failed to deliver in bed.

It’s been five years since Brian had his ego cut down its knees when he failed to perform sexually with Taryn. Now he’s forced to see her again, at the Sugarfoot Island songwriting conference, which he attends as a sponsor and she an aspiring songwriter. From nearly the moment of their reunion, Brian recognizes two truths: Taryn is a highly talented songwriter. And Brian’s eager to regale her with talents of his own...in his bed, on his balcony, bent over the edge of his Jacuzzi tub...

Taryn can’t decipher what’s hotter, her need for revenge, or the feel of sexy-hot Brian in her arms, their body’s joined together and slick with passion. Temptation this good is damned hard to pass up.

The rules are firm...no relations between the conference staff and songwriters...but then the conference hasn’t actually started, and weren’t rules made to be broken?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: anal play/intercourse.

Review:

Fiery hot passion, and fiery hot attitude- this book is full of wit, drama, and sexy love scenes. The love/hate relationship between Taryn and Brian keep them coming back for more after each frustrating encounter. But sometimes it's just a little too over the top. Taryn wants to make it in the songwriting business, and the conflict comes from a past encounter between Brian and her years back. Sometimes, they both drove me crazy and I wanted to shake them, but overall the story was enjoyable, engaging, and hot. I love books that have themes dealing with aspiring musicians, even songwriters, so this book grabbed my attention just from that aspect alone.

Do you enjoy erotic romance? Ready for a hot read? Pick up Nothing On but the Radio, and get a little pleasure with music and romance.

Blurb/Summary:

Blush sensuality level: This is a sensual romance (may have explicit love scenes, but not erotic in frequency or type).

Eileen knows her fiancé, Alex, is always feeling sorry for the downtrodden assistants at their law firm—and she’s worried that he cares more about them than he does about her. But when Alex plans to spike the office coffeepot with a potion that will make everyone nicer to each other, should Eileen play the supportive future spouse, or tell him he’s gone too far?

Eileen is convinced that no amount of hocus-pocus could make senior law partners Ann and Duke stop their noisy quarrels. Or change the way sexy, ambitious executive assistant Zoe thinks about laid-back Kevin, the IT guy. Or help timid Connie get a date with her boss, Roger, who’s too shy to admit he’s attracted to her.

Review:

Sometimes, when you want something bad enough, you just go after it. That's exactly what Alex does, but not in the way you'd think. He's sick and tired of everyone in his office being discriminated against, there is always fighting, and it's driving him mad.

And then, he does something about it. What does he do? He puts something in the coffee.

And his plan? It works! Oh boy, does it work. In fact, it's beginning to create some rather interesting scenarios.

Something in the Coffee is not your typical office romance story. No, this one is far better. It's bound to make you laugh, if you have a sense of humor of course, and could brighten up your day.

Rose Maybud, I salute you! For writing such a funny, witty charming book. If you enjoy a contemporary story with light paranormal elements, then don't miss this book!

Blurb/Summary:

Book seven in the Ra’s Chosen series.

After watching all his warriors find their mates, Ra wants nothing more than to find his own. How hard can it be? He’s an Egyptian god, for crying out loud. Women should fall at his feet—and into his bed. When he discovers his destiny, he’s flabbergasted that she doesn’t accept him at the word go. He must wrap his head, and arms, around this mortal woman. Fast.

Shanda doesn’t want a man right now. No way, no how. But when the sexy stranger shows up at her museum, her sex-starved body doesn’t care. It wants him…posthaste. She might have a chance in hell of resisting him, if he’d only stop kissing her.

With the pressure of having to tell Shanda what he truly is, Ra bumbles the job left and right. Very un-godlike. And when she does everything she can to stay out of his bed and his life, Ra must win her over the only way he knows how. With seduction.

Review:

Ra’s Hunger is part of a series of books by Marisa Chenery. In this story we get to find out what happens to Ra when he finds his mate. Ra’s Hunger is a little shorter than the other stories in the series, but there is still some great interaction between the main characters of the story and the secondary ones from previous stories.

If you have been waiting to find out what kind of woman Ra ends up with then you won’t want to miss his tale. Shanda finds it hard to love after what she’s been through, so Ra just has to work that much harder to win her over to him. They share some erotic love making that will have you wishing Ra could mate a couple times.

If you haven’t read the other books in the series, then I recommend that you read them first for there are several spoilers in this story.

Blurb/Summary:

A "Battle of the Sexes" Story!

When Heather Hart was fifteen, her parents brought her to Wyoming to visit her grandfather’s ranch where she met cowboy Tristan Rogers when he helped patch her twisted ankle. Young, sweet, and impressionable, she promptly lost her heart to the young rodeo rider. Twenty years later Heather has been summoned by her dying grandfather to determine if she is worthy, being the last of the Harts, to inherit the ranch.

The man she’ll be competing against for the prize is none other than Tristan Rogers, the ranch's current foreman, who loves the land like no other. Heather has one month to learn five things about the ranch and Tristan is given the task of “showing her the ropes,” so to speak.

Heather recognizes her adversary and uses all the weapons in her arsenal to fight for Hart Ranch, namely sex appeal and attitude aplenty. But Tristan can’t help remembering the sweet young girl who'd had a crush before she became this hellcat on high heels. As Heather tries to transform into a woman worthy of her grandfather’s approval, Tristan works to learn what embittered her and tries to win her heart and trust.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content and graphic language.

Review:

A Silver Lining is a touching and emotionally fulfilling read about the perils of youth and how it shapes a person as they grow into adulthood. Misconceptions are often unrealized until hindsight is in the late future.

Heather has a lot of emotional baggage she carries around. Now with her grandfather on the verge of dying she’s thrust back into the one place she felt had the only good memory of her short lived childhood. Tristan has worked his tail off for the ranch and believes it belongs to him, Heather a spoiled ‘acting’ wanton woman uses the many wiles she possesses to disarm him. He makes her work hard to please her grandfather. During their time passion explodes and the hidden vulnerable side of Heather peaks through the layers of attitude she displays. I really enjoyed how this story ended and how time back on the ranch healed old wounds enough to live in the present.

Book 3 in the Pleasure Partners series.

Doreen needs a mate! She has “killed” another sexbot and the eunuch slaves assigned to serve her don’t provide what she needs. She desperately longs for the touch of a real man. Her very own Master.

Shedir has everything Doreen needs. Though sex with a real woman is forbidden him, this one is ready to be his sexual slave and fulfill his every desire. Doreen is insatiable! Shedir soon becomes obsessed with the incredibly sexy Earthling exile. But he has willingly sacrificed his life to work, gaining power and prestige, his goal to become a ruler in Earth Federation. To have Doreen, he must give up everything.

Can unbound pleasure trump ambition? Shedir thinks not, until he’s faced with the sacrifice he cannot make—his woman, his love.

Publisher’s Note: The books in the Pleasure Partners series originally comprised the Luna Ten and Obsidion series and were previously published elsewhere. They have been substantially revised and lengthened for Ellora’s Cave. This book was previously published under the title Shedir.

Review:

Enslaving the Master Book 3 of the Pleasure Partner Series tickled my funny bone. Not only was Shedir hot, Doreen really needed some sex that wasn’t attached to technology. In this story I could see the frustration the young woman felt when her needs remained unfulfilled and hoped she’d find in the universe a real man to satisfy her on all levels.

Shedir a soldier who took his job seriously couldn’t bend the rules for himself. Denying himself pleasure and the ability to have a mate, he gives his seed to a collection system. I’d hoped he’d find the ways of his superiors not his way to exist and find out what he wanted on his own and make it happen. I enjoyed this story.

A Good sub Would... by Sierra Cartwright
Genre: BDSM Erotic Contemporary

Shelby, a wanna-be sub, hasn’t found a Dom strong enough to push past her need to be in control. Her experiences as a sub have been yawn-inducing. She’s fantasized plenty, though, about Trevor Lawton, one of Dark Haven’s legendary, mouthwateringly firm Doms.

As the stakes get higher at the charity poker match, Dom Trevor Lawton is fascinated by the woman kneeling across the table from him. Problem is, she’s not a good sub. Oh, she tries, and she’s lovely. But she’s not very good at following orders. The woman needs a firm, unyielding hand...his.

Real Doms terrify her, so Summer plays with lightweights only. And only in the safety of her club, Dark Haven. But on Western Night, the tough cop who wins her in a sub-roping game is as powerful as they come.

Virgil's first taste of BDSM was disturbingly enticing. Hoping to burn out his interest, he visits an infamous San Francisco club, where he wins himself the prettiest little sub he’s ever seen. He’s in a quandary. A man shouldn’t render a woman helpless, let alone spank her ass. But the nervous little submissive clearly loves being in his ropes. Her need to be controlled is as powerful as his need to control. So he indulges himself, and her.

That one night could be the beginning, but instead it's the end. She won't play outside the club and he lives too far to come play. He'll just have to find a way to forget her...or get her in his ropes to stay.

Publisher's Note: All of the stories within this anthology contain explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: strong BDSM theme and elements (including/not limited to: bondage and spanking).

Review:

Dom’s of Dark Haven 2: Western Night led me back into the lives of the masterful Dominant’s and the submissives they love.

In A Good sub Would by Sierra Cartwright, Shelby and Trevor started off the first of three fabulous stories. Shelby wants so badly to give up control and Trevor wants to be the Dom that shows her the joys of complete and total submission. I loved the play in this story. How Shelby wouldn’t submit to her long time friend, but knew she was being disrespectful enough for a Dom to call her on it. Trevor a good guy in the end proved just why he’s a great hero, not only as a dominant but as a friend who’d go out of his way to help a mate. The passion melted me in this story.

Hunting Holly by Belinda McBride was a tasty treat. Once again I got to go back into the lives of the Trukee Pack. Tex and Hunter have come to do a job and are faced with a new, young member to protect. While there they happen upon Holly and the gig is up. Holly knows she must face the two that she loves and hope they see she needs them both. Both men have guilt complexes from their captive days that prevent them from seeing what’s in front of them; a healed female ready to move on with her life. I enjoyed the deep emotional impact of this story.

Welcome to the Dark Side by Cherise Sinclair brought Summer back into the picture. In a story done before, I remember her being beaten by an abusive Dominant. I wondered if she’d be having a story of her own and was glad to see Virgil chosen and paired with her. I enjoyed his internal struggle with his need to dominate and the guilt it carried in correlation with his job and the community he lived in. Summer’s previous terror and inability to trust worked well for them, and I found a budding relationship growing that I’d hoped would sever the past and flourish for both whom desperately needed each other.

Tagline: The Moon is haunted, but the werewolves don’t know that!

Blurb/Summary:

Joseph Marquand didn’t want to go back, he really didn't, but duty called and curiosity beckoned, and besides, it's not like his nights could get any worse. A werewolf attack on the Moon itself was something of a novelty, especially for Earth's greatest werewolf hunter, and if he could lay a few of his own unquiet ghosts to rest at the same time...Well, one ghost. Cynthia's ghost. The reason he'd quit space. The people of Coventry Base definitely didn't want him there. Except for Candace, who was definitely in the minority. They'd found shelter there for a reason, and they were more afraid of the werewolf hunter than they would ever be of a werewolf. Then the nightmares began, and the wolves of Coventry Base found that they were haunted by far more than just their curse. They were being haunted by Marquand's curse as well. The werewolf hunter had become the werewolves' only hope for salvation, but Marquand's only hope for salvation was in one woman with no hope, and another who didn't even know she existed.

Review:

St. Martin's Moon by Mark Vun Kannon takes werewolves to the moon. The premise behind this story is that a werewolf should be unable to change on the moon as there is never a full moon in the sky to trigger the metamorphosis. But then, a werewolf killing occurs on the moon and an ex-military werewolf hunting specialist is called in to answer the how, what, when, where and why's of this unusual situation. Major Marquand has skeletons of his own in the closet. He is suffering from a case of PTSD due to the gruesome loss of his partner and lover several years before on the moon. Because of this, he really has no wish to go to the moon again but the case is to intriguing to pass up.

The story takes us through the odd behaviours of the moon colonists, who are definitely hiding something, and Major Marquand's surreal ghostly nightmares. As such, I found the story slightly disjointed. The sections of 'wolfspeak', if that is what they were, never fully explained who was doing the speaking. It seemed to me that it was meant to be wolves speaking mind to mind but the wolf names never coincided with any of the colonists and as such I was unable to relate the conversations to the story. They also were written almost like a chat room, with people leaving the conversation, so maybe it was meant to be a chat room dialogue instead. Aside from that, I found this to be an intriguing story.

The characters were likeable and well defined. The descriptions of the sports that they had invented upon the moon, using both the moons gravity and their extraordinary abilities, to alleviate the boredom of life on the moon were quite amusing. The setting, of a colony on the moon, peopled by werewolves in a self inflicted, secret, leper style colony was a novel take on the old theme of werewolves verses hunters.

On the whole, I applaud this take on the werewolf theme. This is a suitable story for fans of sci-fi and the paranormal alike. None of the scenes were particularly offensive and as such I feel this would also be a suitable read for a teenage reader of the sci-fi paranormal genre. Possibly, this story should even be marketed specifically to that category of reader. I enjoyed this story and it was fairly easy to read and absorb with only the dreamworld and the chat sections requiring some slight re-read. A fun read with a unique perspective Mr. Vun Kannon!

For her own safety, modern day, single mom, Lizzy McAllister is forced to bow to the medieval men who surround her when she’s thrust back in time to the sixteenth century against her will. When Lizzie finds herself trapped in time with Fin, the one man she finds both irresistible and maddening, she agrees to combine forces with him to rid Scotland of the evil witch, Grainna.

Finlay MacCoinnich’s attraction to Lizzie sizzles the very air they breathe. Tearing down the solid walls the woman has built around her won’t be easy, but he’s willing to do anything to keep her by his side. When a spell cast by their deadliest foe throws them forward in time, will they manage to find their way back in time to save their family from peril? And will Lizzy willingly stay in his time, or abandon him altogether?

Review:

Are you ready for the amazing next instalment in this breathtaking time travelling trilogy? When I first picked up a Catherine Bybee book, I was instantly hooked. The mix of time travel, witches, magic, and the power of falling in love grabbed me instantly. When I learned that there was more than one story, that it was part of a trilogy, I had to have it. And long awaited, this is Liz and Finn's story.

From book two, I knew that these two would have the most powerful story yet, and indeed they did. Do yourself a favor- pick up this book, in fact, pick up the entire trilogy. Clear your schedules for the next few days and get drawn in to the magic of travelling through time, finding your destiny, and fighting against a powerful witch that will stop at nothing to get her way. Redeeming Vows is enchanting, thrilling, the tension sizzles between Lizzie and Finn, and the book jumps with intense action. I suggest you not miss it!
