Blurb/Summary:

Rodeo Royalty Book 2

With the ink still dry on her new veterinary license, Rodeo Queen Ruth Davis returns to Angel Springs as the new town vet. It seems her plans to save the world as a veterinary missionary are on hold. But, when her first patient arrives in the arms of battered rodeo man, Dodge Atwell, she realizes God has bigger plans than she ever dreamed possible.

The last thing Dodge wants, or needs, in his life is Ruth. Her annoying habit of quoting Scripture only serves to remind him that she’s everything he’s not—Pure, innocent, good.

When Dodge returns to her clinic, with yet another rescued dog, Ruth cannot help but become fascinated with the man and his scars—the physical ones there for the world to see, as well as spiritual ones she senses lurking beneath the surface.

Could the reluctant animal savior be the hero she’s been waiting for all her life?

Review:

Welcome back to Angel Springs, Texas. We revisit this lovely town in book two of The Rodeo Royalty Series. This time around, the story's main heroine is Ruth Davis, former rodeo queen and newly licensed veterinarian. And who should be one of her first customers but Dodge Atwall, who'd been through a terrible accident while Ruth was gone. He no longer lets anyone get close to him, or gets close to anyone else. But something about Ruth keeps him coming back.

I enjoyed Ruth's character in the first book, and I'm so glad that she's back for her own story. And Dodge, well, there's just something about a damaged, dark hero that draws me in. I'm glad I got to see a change in him and that he faces his feelings about his past. Teri Wilson has a way of taking tortured souls and saving them, and this book is no exception. It's beautifully written, with strong characters and moving plot.

If you enjoy a sweet romance with a strong faith element, then don't miss this book. In fact, don't miss this series. I can't wait for the next instalment!
