Blurb/Summary:
*This is Book 5 of the Alien Mate Index but it can be read as a stand-alone novel*
I never wanted to be a pet—especially not the pet of an arrogant, Alien
Overlord.
Now I’m stuck on his spaceship, learning to walk on a
leash and eating a disgusting concoction called “human chow.” Also, Sir demands
that I go through “training” of the extra-spicy variety in order to display
"proper pet behavior" whatever that means. Will I ever get back to
Earth? You’ll have to read The Overlord’s Pet to find out.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? An astronaut? A
ballerina? A scientist? Whatever it was, I bet it wasn’t a pet. Specifically
the pet of a huge, muscular, arrogant Alien Overlord.
I never wanted to be a pet either, but that seems to be my fate. I was sucked
through the bathroom mirror at my Great Aunt’s house by these little blue guys
called “Commercians” who run a service called The Alien Mate Index. They sold
me to a huge alien with horns and a tail who told me I may call him “Master” or
“Sir.” He made me wear a collar and taught me to walk on leash and even tried
to get me to eat “human chow!” But don’t worry—he’s not one of those crazy
owners who forces their pet to wear clothing. No—Sir thinks that clothes on a
pet look “ridiculous” so guess who gets to run around his spaceship bare-ass
naked all day? I’ll give you two guesses and both of them are “me.”
This isn’t a fate I chose and I’m determined to escape from Sir and find my way
back to Earth. But things start getting sticky when he claims that he bought me
for a purpose much larger than the two of us. Does the fate of my galaxy really
rest on my shoulders? And why does it require so much extra “training” of the
spicy variety? Will I ever get back to my own planet and eat a cheeseburger
instead of that disgusting human chow?
To find out, you’ll have to read The Overlord’s Pet.
Review:
The next installment in the Alien Mate Index series was worth the wait. Elli and Sir have amazing chemistry together. Their relationship starts off rocky but grows steadily with each new adventure they face together. Their journey together makes it hard to put down the book.
Elli’s antics get her into trouble, but Sir is there to catch her. I found it ironic and hysterical that Elli got to find out what it was like to be one of her Aunt’s pampered, prized dogs.
The Overlord’s Pet takes a different
direction from the previous books which leads to an entirely new galaxy for us
to explore. Evangeline Anderson’s imagination must have been in
overdrive with all the new and old characters! The Overlord’s Pet was a
fun, spicy story, and the new galaxy opens so many possibilities. I look forward
to future books in this series.
I received an ARC for an honest review.

Great review! Glad you included that you don’t have to read the first four books since I don’t remember most of the details from them. Now that I’m mostly audiobooks I doubt I’ll ever reread them.
