Blurb/Summary:
Romance novelist Taylor Beir will stop at nothing to get her mother off her back, including relocating to teach a little boy she’s never met how to read. But Christopher Doubleday doesn’t want to learn. His handsome older brother, Boyd, has an invisible stick up his backside. And she suspects sweet Mary and Jesse are trying to transform her into the mythical “good girl” she’s never been, either by power of suggestion or by bribing her with endless goodies from Mary’s kitchen.
Review:
The Diva Of Peddler's Creek is a fun, enjoyable read! Ava Bleu writes with spunk and flares, and creates memorable characters.
Taylor, the heroine, is a writer, and her mother asks her a favor; to go and help a child learn to read. Taylor is reluctant at first, but she decides to go. The family she is staying with is the best friend of Taylor's mother. Taylor and Boyd, the oldest son, have a love/hate relationship. He doesn't believe Taylor is going to be able to help his brother, Christopher, learn to read.
This story is full of laughs, moments where you want to shed a tear, and moments where you want to smack someone. This has a lot of emotional impact on a reader, meaning that the writer knows exactly how to tug on the readers’ emotions.
This is a great story, one not to be missed.
