Pit a beautiful, headstrong columnist against her hard-bodied macho new boss, and sparks begin to fly... Magazine journalist Stanna battles her chauvinist new boss Jake for creative control of the Men's Weekly column. She's determined to reform him. He's determined to train her. Neither wants to acknowledge the electrifying attraction that pulls at them both.
Review:
Stanna has a dream job at Men’s Weekly. She writes a column for men with a woman’s point of view, to help greater mankind of course. It isn’t till she finds out that her great job is about to become her worse nightmare, when her current editor in chief is fired and the new owner Jake informs her that she will no longer be writing her column. She will now be taking direction from him and if she doesn’t like it, then she can work elsewhere. Stanna is less than impressed by her new role in the magazine, but what bothers her most is how she reacts to her new boss and his ridiculous caveman attitude, the man has some nerve. But can she look past all his problems?
Jake doesn’t trust Stanna or any other woman for that matter, and he really doesn’t trust his reaction his mind and body has whenever she is around. He has a paper to run and she is a complication he can’t afford right now. Stanna can either write her column his way or she can leave, there is no room at the paper for her feminist ideals here. But can he make her see his way?
Christina Crooks has written a delightful story of two people who have lots of issues to overcome but couldn’t be more right for each other. LA Caveman is a well written, funny, sexy, sweet story that you will enjoy. It will remind you with everything that goes on in our lives; it’s nice to know that love can conquer all.
