Embrace the Moment is a good contemporary romance with a little spice. Both Lark and Acer come from broken backgrounds, so they have a lot of personal growth to achieve before they can have a relationship together. Their sex life isn’t the problem, it’s everything else.

Acer’s superior officer, Lark, likes to be dominated in the bedroom, and she doesn’t mind giving him control. Their sexual encounters are erotic and there is some light BDSM undercurrents.

Mahalia Levey brings home the importance of seizing the day by inserting life and death military operations. It helps Acer and Lark to realize that you don’t know what you have until you think you’ve lost it.

The plot twists have you wondering what will become of Lark and Acer. It’s a fun story and hard to put down.
