Tagline: When your only reasons for staying apart get blown to pieces, just what are you supposed to do to protect your heart from the man who has had it all along?

Blurb/Summary:
Three Reasons Why is a sequel to Kiss Me, Kate.

Wes wants Jill Harper in every possible way a man can want a woman. But she’s resisting. Hard. When he learns she needs a handyman for her diner, he decides fate is smiling upon him—until Jill offers three reasons why they can’t be together. Always up for a challenge, Wes decides to prove her ridiculous reasons unsound, one by one.

Jill knows her reasons are total bull, but she’s sticking by them, come hell or high water. Unfortunately, Wes Robson is extremely persuasive. Especially in bed. If the sex gets any hotter they’ll likely burn down the town. Before long, Jill’s reasons begin falling away as fast as her clothing whenever Wes is around.

But Jill knows exactly what Wes wants for his future, and she’s just prolonging the inevitable heartbreak. The real reason she can’t give herself to Wes, can’t allow herself to love him, can only lead to pain—the kind from which neither may ever recover.

Review:
The story of Jill and Wes is a continuation from Kiss Me, Kate with guest appearances of Both Rick and Kate, and with the first story Mari Carr knocked this one out of the park.  The main characters, Wes and Jill, were so well written that they came alive on the page which really made reading this story such a pleasure to read.  Having read several other works by Ms. Carr in the past I hoped that this story lived up to the high standards that I had gained from her previous books, and she has once again made another hit.

The emotions in this book were so raw that as a reader, I truly was taken on the same roller coaster ride that Jill was experiencing every time she got close to Wes. Mari really made these characters so 3-D that everything they did came to life from the pages for me.  While this book sits comfortably in the contemporary romance genre, it could easy pass into the suspense or slight erotica as well.

The cover art was really something that drew me to this book, not only because of the sexy cover models, but that it really didn’t give too much of the story away and made me want to know more about the characters after reading the blurb on the back.  This book would make a great addition to anyone’s reading collection and I can’t wait to see what else it is that she comes up with in the future.

Blurb/Summary:

When pirate Black Jack captures a ship at sea, he considers the territorial governor’s haughty daughter part of the spoils of war. Tying the fiery beauty to his bed, Jack claims Emma as his…over and over again.

Jack has a secret. One he’s kept hidden from his best friend Emma…

When she calls in a favor, asking Jack to perform in a pirate fetish fantasy at the nightclub she manages, Emma inadvertently opens Pandora’s box—for both of them. As portraying a dominant pirate forces more of Jack’s secret desires to light, Emma finds herself enmeshed in sensual explorations of BDSM, wax play, bondage and sex in public that leave her questioning her vanilla existence.

When a second heated interlude on the stage finds her submitting to Jack, Emma suspects she’ll never find her way back to her simple missionary lifestyle. But with Jack in control…she’s not sure she wants to.
Review:

I loved the background story and build up of the sexual tension between Jack and Emma. It made my heart race. The verbal sparring back and forth was perfect; it gave the characters real depth and showed the history between them.

Emma is not sure about getting involved with her best friend, Jack. He’s a dominant and she’s sure that a submissive role won’t suit her. After one practice scene with Emma, Jack can’t believe he’s missed what’s been in front of him forever. Emma’s a closet sub and he knows just how to draw her out and push her limits.

Black Jack is a story within a story. The fantasies that Jack and Emma play out on stage find their way into their real life; becoming day dreams that won’t be ignored. This is a really fun story that will pull you in from the first line and keep the pages turning.

The secondary character and third friend, Travis, has a twisted tale I can’t wait to read. At least I hope Mari Carr will share his story with us! Travis is a great complimentary character to this story and will leave the reader wondering.

Black Jack by Mari Carr has heart, hot sex, erotic fantasies, and a little mystery. It’s well written and not to be missed.

Blurb/Summary:

Wild Irish, Book Seven

The child who is born on the Sabbath day, is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

Sean Collins is happy working at the family pub and sharing a house with the woman of his dreams. He and Lauren are equals in every way, including in bed, where they burn the sheets. Life is good. Even if he must hide a couple of secrets to keep it that way.

Lauren is madly in love with Sean. They share everything—almost. She can’t deny sensing…something. A certain feeling when she, Sean and their friend Chad are all together. But she doesn’t press. How can she when she’s not being completely forthright herself?

Chad is feeling pretty miserable, and renting a room in Sean and Lauren’s home has only made it worse. In a house filled with secrets, Chad’s are doozies.

When an opportunity arises to explore their deep desires, the trio plunges into a sex-filled, emotionally charged ménage. Long-buried feelings are revealed, changing their lives irrevocably. Whether for better or worse, only Sean, Chad and Lauren can decide.

Review:

Any Given Sunday was an incredible story about trust and love. It was refreshing to see the back story spanned years and made the three main characters very good friends before becoming lovers.

We are introduced to Lauren and Sean as their relationship has just reached the next level. While all the time Chad is a main part of their lives; he is suffering from the love that he feels can’t be expressed or returned.

Everything comes to a head when Lauren and Chad, psychology students, are given some interesting research topics. Lauren wants Sean and Chad to help her explore the D/s dynamic with her as the submissive. The boys take it as a challenge not to let her down. Chad is excited because he finally gets to explore and express his feelings.

The chemistry between Chad, Sean, and Lauren just sizzles off the pages and will leave you breathless for the next Sunday. The D/s dynamic really brings forth the trust and friendship that they have all shared throughout the years.

The secondary family characters add some fun and whimsy to the story. However, the fun is never out done by the loving acceptance they all show one another. Mari Carr, set up a truly wonderful family model with the Collins Family.

This is a must read. For any Wild Irish fans, it’s another glimpse back into their world that you won’t want to miss.

Blurb/Summary:

Wild Irish, Book Six

Saturday’s child works hard for a living…

What do you get when you cross a gold-digging stripper, a down-on-her-luck hooker, an estranged husband, his knocked-up wife, a Wayne Newton lookalike taxi driver and one beleaguered Baltimore cop?

A typical night in the life of Riley Collins—Vegas style.

Riley’s always been the wildest of the Collins clan, but even she bites off more than she can chew during an impromptu trip to Sin City. Once again, it’s Aaron Young to the rescue. No surprise; Aaron’s been watching Riley’s ass forever—and he’s wanted to spank it for even longer. Tracking her down, Aaron finally gets his wish—after he drags a drunken Riley to a chapel and makes it legit, of course.

To say she’s shocked is putting it mildly. But Riley warms to Aaron’s seduction quicker than you can say “all-you-can-eat buffet!” Who knew her mild-mannered best friend was so hot in the sack? Of course, thanks to Riley’s penchant for picking up strays, the newlyweds will have to sneak in some honeymoon boom-boom whenever they can. But they’ll manage…

Review:

Saturday Night Special starts out strong and the action just keeps on going.

Riley is a delightfully, naughty heroine that will make you smile. Aaron is the boy next door that turns into the bad boy in bed.

Their adventure in Vegas will have you laughing out loud. It was like a great sitcom series all in one book with no commercials. You won’t be able to put this down. The plot twists and love scenes keep your attention and the pages turning.

This story had me laughing and crying. Mari Carr did a great job developing her characters so that you will feel with them as you experience their journey.

This is a must read! I’ll be looking for other stories by Mari Carr.

Blurb/Summary:

It’s been a year since her husband’s passing, and running the ranch is taking its toll on Claire Hutchins. Independent as the day is long, she concedes the need for help. Who shows up at her door, Longtime rodeo star. And the one man capable of making Claire’s lust burn out of control…

Review:

For a quick read, Rekindled packs a lot of emotion. Claire lives on and runs a ranch and deals with the loss of her husband over a year ago. When her ex shows up, wanting a job that is available, immediately Claire's mind goes into an emotional turmoil.

I found Claire and Jeb's story to be very likable and fulfilling. With very erotic love scenes and an ending that will bring a smile to your face.

Mari Carr’s story may be short and sweet, and leave the reader wanting so much more, but with stories like this, Mari Carr will be a hit for a long time. It's my first read by this author, and I was not disappointed.

Summary:

Wild Irish, Book Five

Friday’s child is loving and giving…

Ewan Collins has had the hots for Natalie for years but she continually rebuffs him, supposedly because of their age difference. When Natalie comes to stay with the Collins family for a week, Ewan decides it’s time to make his move in a serious way.

Natalie’s been in a funk since celebrating another birthday alone. When Ewan proposes to help her “get a life”—seven lessons in seven days—she figures, what the hell does she have to lose? Ewan’s plans include tequila shots, fishing, karaoke…and other, more erotic hands-on demonstrations.

But Nat’s loneliness isn’t Ewan’s only obstacle. Tragedy in her past continually takes Natalie to a dark place her mind can’t easily overcome. With support, tenderness and love, Ewan plans to win over Natalie one lesson at a time.

Starting with lessons of the heart.

Review:

Natalie knows she doesn't deserve love.

She has dark moments and can't give someone what they need. But why is she so darn attracted to Ewan? She is too old for him, for one, and she could never fully open up about the darkness within her.

Ewan knows he is pretty much in love with Nat, but he doesn't know how to convince her that they are perfect for each other. So he comes up with a plan, and it will only take seven days.

This is the most perfect love story. I have read every one of these stories in Mari Carr's Irish Series and she has not let us down yet. You will be cheering for Ewan in his pursuit to win Nat's heart, and you will admire the courage that Natalie faces with her own inner demons.

Mari Carr’s stories have the right balance of hot sex and tenderness. If you haven't read anything by her, this is great first read and if you are a fan you will not let you down.

Blurb/Summary: Wild Irish, Book Four

In high school, Lily was too shy to do anything about her feelings for her best friends, Justin and Killian. Now she’s ready to put to rest her regrets with a proposal that might shock even her oversexed friends—the three of them, together, one night, multiple positions.

K and J are more than a little surprised to see Lily at their ten-year reunion. The plain Jane they remember is now a stunning woman—who wants to have sex with both of them. Who are they to deny her? Even if Killian suspects they might be treading on dangerous emotional territory.

The night stretches into the weekend and, as K suspected, none of them want it to end. But he and Lily know people live in pairs, not trios, and they call a halt now, before it’s too late.

Justin, however, knows a good thing when he sees it. He’s ready to fight for what he wants…what they all need. He just has to convince Lilly and Killian that unconventional can also be extraordinary.

Review:

Mari Carr has done it again with this amazingly hot and erotic love story.

Lily was Killian and Justin's best friend in high school even though she was the plain Jane in school she has turned out to be an extremely hot woman. She knows what she wants and it is her two best friends.

Killian and Justin are all too eager to please Lily, but in the end can they just walk away or are they willing to fight for more. This story is a scorching hot story that will keep you reading till the end.
