Blurb/Summary:

Cory knows she has an amazing boss. Jeff is considerate, generous and a true pleasure to work for. Unfortunately, he’s also the sexiest man she’s ever known, and being so close to him every day without being able to touch has turned into pure torture.

Jeff believes Cory is the ideal assistant, always willing to accommodate. For some time he’s been fantasizing about personal things he wishes Cory would do for him. Letting her know that, however, has been out of the question…until she turns in her resignation and admits it’s because she wants something more from him. The instant they realize they want the same thing, they don’t waste another second before acting out their office fantasies.

Review:

Work It by Marilyn Campbell was a fun, short read. I felt for Cory who wanted to keep her personal life and her professional life separate and the lengths to which she’d go to achieve her objective. Holding feelings for so long and being denied or invisible must have been crushing. I hoped she’d find in life what she was looking for.

Jeff on the other hand didn’t seem to be the type of man to let a good thing go. Maybe he just needed a glimmer that there was a spark or some pizzazz there! I hoped they’d ignite a fire and dive into what they’d been dancing around for years.

Blurb/Summary:

Hunter Dunlap, co-owner of Everlasting Love, wants nothing to do with romance since his wife left him for his assistant—a woman. His new assistant, Ronni Strickland, is perfect with her big glasses and strict appearance. She’s clearly not his type.

On Valentine’s Day, while checking out a resort for the company, Hunter discovers he and Ronni are booked into a section called Bondage Bay. Suddenly he’s looking at his assistant with new eyes—and with a burning need to discover what she’s hiding under that all-business exterior.

Publisher’s Note: Originally available in the Diamond Studs anthology.

Review:

Diamond Assets is an emotional and moving story of two people finding each other. Hunter’s past relationship has scarred him and left him feeling vulnerable and lonely. Ronnie works hard and is competent at her job, but has been overlooked as a woman.

Their relationship starts out like most of the good ones do, as friends, even though Hunter is Ronnie’s boss. They make a great team in the office and as the story unfolds, we find out they make a great team in the bedroom as well.

This story is sensual and the love scenes are erotic. I liked the progression of their relationship and how it is portrayed in the story and writing. Hunter and Ronnie are likable and easy to connect with in the story.

If you are looking for a romance with a little BDSM, spice, and a happy ending then check out Diamond Assets.

Based on this story, I would check out other creations by Ruth D. Kerce.

Blurb:

Pit a beautiful, headstrong columnist against her hard-bodied macho new boss, and sparks begin to fly... Magazine journalist Stanna battles her chauvinist new boss Jake for creative control of the Men's Weekly column. She's determined to reform him. He's determined to train her. Neither wants to acknowledge the electrifying attraction that pulls at them both.

Review:

Stanna has a dream job at Men’s Weekly. She writes a column for men with a woman’s point of view, to help greater mankind of course. It isn’t till she finds out that her great job is about to become her worse nightmare, when her current editor in chief is fired and the new owner Jake informs her that she will no longer be writing her column. She will now be taking direction from him and if she doesn’t like it, then she can work elsewhere. Stanna is less than impressed by her new role in the magazine, but what bothers her most is how she reacts to her new boss and his ridiculous caveman attitude, the man has some nerve. But can she look past all his problems?

Jake doesn’t trust Stanna or any other woman for that matter, and he really doesn’t trust his reaction his mind and body has whenever she is around. He has a paper to run and she is a complication he can’t afford right now. Stanna can either write her column his way or she can leave, there is no room at the paper for her feminist ideals here. But can he make her see his way?

Christina Crooks has written a delightful story of two people who have lots of issues to overcome but couldn’t be more right for each other. LA Caveman is a well written, funny, sexy, sweet story that you will enjoy. It will remind you with everything that goes on in our lives; it’s nice to know that love can conquer all.
