Blurb/Summary:

Varek and Gable have everything. Everything but their freedom. In the Orion Pride, only free were-panther men can claim a male warrior-mate and commit their lives to each other. At least, that’s the way it’s always been. But now the high council has condoned the pride’s very first three-way mating, and Varek and Gable see a possible chance to gain that precious freedom. They only need a free man to claim them both, and they have just the man in mind.

Kylar has never believed in love, not until he meets two slave men who show him that love—and sex—can be more intense than anything he’s ever imagined. But when Kylar discovers that Varek and Gable planned his seduction, will he believe that real love can grow from deception, or will he see himself as nothing but a necessary decision?

Review:

Wow! That being said, Necessary Decision is one hot, steamy story filled with passion, love, and erotic love scenes that will leave you breathless.

Gable is the kind, caring one that aims to please everyone. Varek is the strong, protective one and Kylar is the dominant, vulnerable man that can set them all free. Free to love and be loved.

The three of them want what has never taken place before in their pride, a three-way warrior mating. Take their journey with them to find out if their hopes and dreams come true or if lies and half-truths will destroy them all.

A.D. Christopher wrote a compelling story that I was unable to put down. Who needs sleep? I will be looking forward to other creations by A.D. Christopher.

Blurb/Summary:

Serena Blackstone, a non-magickal mundane, is the new librarian at Strange Castle. Irresistibly drawn to the dark and dangerous Dungeon Master, Invictus Cross, Serena sets out to seduce him.

Invictus Cross takes her up on her invitation with the intent of discouraging the sexy mundane. She shouldn't be at Strange Castle and she shouldn't be with him. His dark past is sure to come back to haunt him and he doesn't want Serena caught in the crossfire.

Serena is shocked by Invictus' sexual demands, but rallies to the challenge. After all, her enchanted robe has revealed that Invictus Cross is her one true love. And for that, she'll put herself at his mercy…

Review:

Lusty Charms: Invictus is a short story about D/s with some magic weaved into the story. Invictus Cross is the hero of the story and the dominant one. Serena is the heroine and, unknown to her, submissive. The author, Lani Aames, gives us some background information on both characters and tells us how they came to be in the same place.

Serena does the pursuing of Invictus and we get to read about her results. Little did Serena know that it would turn out to be an amazing, erotic night. Invictus soon indoctrinates her into his world of D/s, but he also falls into Serena’s world of love.

This is a well written story, but I have to say I was a little disappointed that it ended so abruptly. There is quite a build up around the evil DeMonica, but nothing ever comes to fruition regarding this character. What happened to that part of the plot? I also really want to know, what’s going to happen in the dungeon the next night? What is in store for Serena when she enters Invictus’ world on his own turf? Maybe some of these questions will be answered in a following story.

In spite of my questions, this was a fun story to read and it held my attention from beginning to end. I would check out other works by Lani Aames.

Tagline: Unlikely allies in a strange new world, Tallon and Shayla work to tie Witches and Warlocks as one.

Blurb/Summary:

On the world of Arroway, Witches have been persecuted for a thousand years. Now, Tallon, Enforcer for The Order of Warlocks has been sent to hunt and destroy Shayla, a powerful, young Witch. But when he sees her, she awakens something inside him—some connection forgotten in the years of persecution. And when he starts his spell, she counters with magic so strong it rips them from their own world and into a new one—Earth. Drawn together as unlikely allies in this strange new world, Tallon and Shayla must work as partners to find a way home. They relearn the bond that once tied Witches and Warlocks as one, and in doing so discover not only their futures at stake, but the future of their whole world.

Review:

Chosen by Nina Croft is a wonderful story that will capture your imagination. Nina Croft pens a great alternate world of witches, warlocks, and magic. The conflict between the witches and warlocks, fuelled by politics, drives the story.

The plot is packed with action and emotion. Tallon is the reluctant hero that needs his heroine, Shayla, to draw out his gallant side. The two of them together spark their own magic. Together they will save each other and might just be able to save their planet.

Chosen is one of those stories that you just can’t put down. The pages seemed to turn themselves. Nina Croft left some wiggle room with her ending so that we might revisit these wonderful characters. Until then, I will be looking for other creations by Nina Croft.

Victoria Miller did a wonderful job on the cover art by making it seem to accurately portray the characters in the story.

Blurb/Summary:

Ex-DEA agent Erin Montgomery is reluctantly back on the job, posing as the sex-kitten groupie girlfriend of rock star Sean Ledger. She’ll be joining his band’s tour to try to catch an obsessed, dangerous fan. Tormented by nightmares of her failed last assignment, Erin’s not exactly eager to be drawn back into the fray. But once she meets Sean, all rocker, all man and dripping with raw sex appeal, she knows she’s right where she belongs.

Sean is reluctant to have someone investigating his crew, but when he meets Erin, his objections fly out the window. The beautiful, hard-bitten agent turns him on like no other woman ever has. Sean’s caught glimpses of the fiery passion lurking under Erin’s cool front and he’s determined to break through her hard exterior and make her his.

But Sean’s stalker is still at large and she’s made it clear she’s willing to stop at nothing—even murder—to get him.

Review:

What woman wouldn't want the job of going undercover, posing as a rock stars’ girlfriend? Erin, that's who. But her time off has come to an end after a tragedy, and she can't let her friend down.

Sean hides behind his music; he's a dark soul with his own tormented past. He uses music and sex to escape reality, but now someone is after him, damaging his things and threatening his life. He's not really sure what Erin can do, but he is sure that his attraction to her is intense, and that he wants her, needs her in his bed and eventually in his heart.

This is a strong erotic romance with suspense elements. Lots of graphic language as well, and the intensity of Erin and Sean's attraction is hotter than the boiling point. This is a good, solid story and I enjoyed it.

If you love erotic romances with suspense elements, then you may enjoy Love and Protect. Be warned, this is one hot story!

Blurb/Summary:

Two million dollars? What a fortune to inherit! Courtney Madison has battled poverty her entire twenty-five years but is determined to make a safe and happy home for her teenaged brother after the death of their mom. Her inheritance in West Texas looks like the answer to her prayers. Once she arrives in Sweet Springs, Texas and moves in across the road from a handsome rancher, she soon learns her problems are just beginning.

Derek Corrigan, who co-owns some of Ms. Madison’s properties, suspects the worst of his new neighbor and vows to fight his growing attraction. He knows what women do to him--they always leave and take away chunks of his heart. He's been there, done that, had the vaccination long ago and is cured. Or is he?

Review:

What does one do when you don't trust someone, but yet can't seem to fight the growing attraction for them? Derek is in that situation with Courtney, a woman that is a stranger to him. But now he has to face her because she's inherited a man's fortune. That man was like a father to Derek, and he suspects that Courtney is up to no good, hence the reason she inherited what she did.

But the more time he spends with her, the more he realizes how wrong he is. And his two kids take to Courtney and her teenaged brother.

Caroline Clemmons has done it again. The author has lured me in with another sweet and tender romance that I had a hard time putting down. The characters are well crafted and memorable, the plot has twists and turns and the pacing was great. Home, Sweet Texas Home is a book that anyone with a love of sweet contemporary romances won't want to miss.

Blurb/Summary:

Holiday Hearts, Book Four

Matt Warren has always been the man of Summer’s dreams. He was her childhood imaginary playmate, her teen crush, and the wildly sexy fantasy lover of her adulthood. She’s always known he wasn’t real, but after experiencing his imaginative, passionate touch, no real man has ever measured up. However, alone on a beach shortly before her birthday, Summer discovers that the Holiday family magic hasn’t left her behind. Matt is real, standing on her beach, and he’s there to make Summer his in every way possible.

Matt has always known he has a gift as a dreamwalker, and that Summer was out there and would someday be his—if he didn’t get himself killed first. Now that his career as an Air Force pilot is over, he’s moved to Charleston to find Summer and teach her that their shared erotic dreams are even better in real life, and that their love can last a lifetime.

Review:

Midsummer Dreams grabs a hold of your imagination right from the start. Cindy Spencer Pape weaves a tale of magical romance that will have you glued to the pages. I have liked all the Holiday Hearts books that I have read, but this one just stands out as my favorite so far.

Matt is an incredible hero in more ways than one. Summer makes for a wonderful heroine. Both characters pull at the reader’s emotions so that you can’t put the book down. I loved their playfulness and banter. Together their love scenes set the pages on fire. Matt and Summer really come to life off the pages.

I was glad to partake in their journey. This was a well written story and anyone that loves a little magic with their romance will enjoy Midsummer Dreams.

Tagline: Two people out to prove nobody can pull one over on them ... little do they know just one glance can

Blurb/Summary:
Working for the Wichita Tribune is the best thing that's ever happened to Rebekah Shayne, until she takes an assignment aimed to take down a prestigious matchmaking firm. She’s determined to ferret out the falsities, schemes, and swindling companies manipulating lonely souls. Ashton Foster doesn't believe in on line dating. When his mother takes charge of his personal life, he knows it’s useless to fight her and would rather go through a few dates with strangers than let her push the unending stream of locals down his throat vying for his pocketbook. In this he finds the perfect opportunity to downplay who he is and become a regular type of guy.

Review:
Burn Me if You Can is a hot, erotic romance story. Rebekah is supposed to meet Ashton for one date to prove that hooking up through a matching service is all bunk. However, things don’t go the way she planned. Ashton wasn’t supposed to be a super, hot, sweet hunk of man.
Ashton takes a one night stand or date to a whole new level with a weekend of fun in the sun. Rebekah and Ashton seem to add a little erotic steam to everything they do.
This is a fun short story that will have you falling in love with the characters by the end of their weekend and hopeful for their future. The happily ever after ending will leave a smile on your face. Don’t miss out on this tale by Mahalia Levey.

Blurb/Summary:

Series: The Anarchy Tales

Previous Book: The Devil of Nettlewood

No apology, Ysenda loves cock. Upon occasion, she even loves the man attached. For a night, and not an eventide more. Not that she’s fickle or fussy. Nay! Just the opposite. Any lover will do her. Including Almaric, the thieving wizard who seduces then abandons her. And Talon, the murderous overlord who killed her sister, Mitri. See? Not fickle or fussy at all. At eight and ten, she had her way with a fine strapping farmer and never once looked back since. To satisfy a yen to mate, she’d pull a lad on and push him off when she was done, then send him on his merry way, uncaring what became of him. Easy cum, easy go -- that was just the way coupling went.

Until she ambushes Almaric the Wizard on the moors and then schemes her way into Lord Talon’s solar at his keep. Whilst the magician’s desertion breaks her heart and the overlord’s dominance pains her other places, she falls in love with the thieving and murderous bastards despite herself. A quandary. No matter. Revenge is sweet and ‘tis hers for the taking --

All she needs do is betray one Outlaw of Ironguard and assassinate the other.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, strong BDSM theme and elements, dubious consent, humiliation, ménage (m/f/m).

Review:

The Outlaw of Ironguard by Louisa Trent was a delightful read. Ysenda captured my attention from the get go and Almaric/Lord Talon had me wanting to find out why he was masquerading in the first place. I thoroughly enjoyed the lay of the land and the setting of this story. Ysenda a strong woman clearly had an agenda of her own. I loved her duplicity in attempting to gain justice by her own means, showed bravery and a strong constitution.

Lord Talon was great. I loved the emasculated side of him versus the alter ego side that had no issues in the bedchambers. It was great to see the two separate parts of him emerge into one and to see the sparks fly between he and Ysenda. I thought it clever that she didn’t see through the ruse at all. Adding in his bailiff was great and I enjoyed all the aspects of submission and domination. This story was filled with humour, intrigue, suspense and white hot sensuality.

Blurb/Summary:

As a cocktail waitress at Fallsview Casino Resort, Jorja has been witness to some brow-raising moments. But she’s never been part of one until a hot-as hell patron in her section pulls her into his lap and kisses her senseless. Talk about a generous tipper. Lady luck has smiled on her indeed.

What was supposed to be a weekend of harmless gambling takes a dramatic turn when Kian’s wolf scents his would-be mate. Consuming her lips as if his life depends on it in the middle of a crowded casino is bad enough—but giving in to his mating urge and claiming her before she knows his true nature is nothing short of a disaster. And when a fellow pack member shows up and lets the wolf out of the bag, Kian is forced to admit not only who and what he is, but what he did. He may need more than luck to pull this one off.

Review:

A Werewolf at the Falls by Marisa Chenery captured my attention at the start. I love being able to get into a book from page one, especially a shorter story. I related to Jorja’s character and found her utterly charming and willing to throw caution to the wind and live in the moment.

Kian showed up and like the man and beast he was, took what was his without thinking it through. I enjoyed seeing the hero unable to practice self control. I enjoyed watching them come together and unite both physically and metaphysically. It was sweet seeing them find each other, seeing Jorja finally being able to have what she needed emotionally to shore up that hole she felt deep in her soul.

Blurb/Summary:

Jocelyn Rhodes is a single mother with a demanding career and a long-neglected libido. Frustrated with the dating scene and way overdue for some satisfying sex, she takes a friend’s advice and hires Sabian, a deliciously sexy escort. He’s well worth the money, and the sheets haven’t even cooled off before she’s ready to call him again.

The more time she spends with him, the more she realizes she and Sabian have important things in common. For starters, she’s a single mom, he’s a prostitute, so when it comes to dating, they’re both damaged goods. To most potential mates, Jocelyn and Sabian are in a category akin to dented soup cans, but if the two of them can look past each other’s respective dents, they just might find something they’ve both been missing.

But even if they do find that something, how on earth can she make a relationship work with a man who sleeps with other women for a living?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable.

Review:

Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher was a great emotional read. Falling in love with the heroine Jocelyn and the Hero Sabian didn’t take too much time. I immediately related to the life of a single mother parent with little time to date and had great respect for the even keeled relationship she and her ex had to raise their children right. I don’t see many erotic romances with children in them and hope that more come.

Sabian is definitely more than just his choice of profession. I enjoyed getting to see the real him and the differences between the man’s alter ego and his personal self. He had so many layers that were pleasant to read. The story rocked and the passion kept me enthralled, more than that though seeing emotional bond build and strengthen in the oddest of situations, shows love is attainable even to those who feel that they are damaged goods. I love when titles of stories really tag a significant core meaning of the story. I can’t wait to read more works from Ms. Gallagher.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: anal play, bondage, exhibitionism.

Review:

Beyond the Shadows by Cassidy Hunter was a fantastic read. It’s apparent in the beginning that Sarah isn’t a follower and has an agenda of her own. I was sad to read of her treatment by her previous keeper, but think being there added great strength to her character.

Kai’s over the top personality took some getting used to. Once the layers were peeled a bit to see what had a hand in making him a standoffish personality, I could relate to him. While I didn’t exactly love him in the beginning, there’s no denying that I loved the savage bedroom side of him. Seeing them both attain emotional growth along with their physical and work through betrayal and forgiveness made for a great read on a lazy Sunday.

Maggie’s just decided she’s been stood up when she bumps into hard-bodied guitarist Calvin—literally. Once the shock of their abrupt meeting wears off, Calvin asks Maggie out for a drink and she figures, why not? She’s all dressed up for a date…just not this one.

She enjoys his company, even if he’s only twenty-seven and she’s forty…something. And while witty conversation’s all good, they’re just as compatible in bed. One drink turns into multiple romps between the sheets. He’s old enough to know how to make love to a woman and young enough to look damn fine doing it…and doing it. He even manages to convince Maggie she’s still pretty hot herself.

Now if he would just stop serenading her with that infernal Rod Stewart song.

Review:

Waking Maggie is a great story about second chances and a cougar getting in her groove. Though the story is short the characters are endearing and easy to connect with as a reader.

Maggie will capture your heart with her courage and endurance. Calvin with his loving nature towards Maggie is heart-warming. The two of them together scorch the pages with their love making and will leave you wanting more.

Caught between vengeful employees, a sister who likes to party, and a hot CIA agent—Rena’s corporate training didn't prepare her for this. Can she trust her instincts to save the people and resort she's grown to love?

Review:

Set in beautiful Canada, this book is thrills and chills. With just the right amount of suspense, the pacing is great, and the characters come right off the pages in a memorable way. The way the author writes the mystery, it's hard to know who to trust in the book. The chemistry between Rena and Neal is intense, and the fact that he's got an important job to do at her resort makes it even fierier.

Rolynn Anderson weaves a tale that readers won't want to miss. It's got plenty of action, suspense and romance. This is a first time read for me by this author, and I can't wait to see what else Rolynn Anderson has in store in the future.

Cheryl Erikson is a Vampire Hunter with a problem. A dangerous new drug named Plast has found its way onto the streets of Dallas. She would prefer to let the DEA and local law enforcement handle everything, but since the dealers also happen to be vampires, she has no choice but to step in and put a stop to it. With the help of her best friend Virgil and a fellow Hunter named Tank, Cheryl must work to eradicate Plast from the streets of Dallas. It's a task that becomes more difficult as she comes under the gun, quite literally, from a contract out on her head. Coupled with a nosy police detective looking to peg her for a triple homicide, and a sudden interest in her activities from a powerful vampire recently arrived in the area, it's enough to force her to accept help from the least likely of sources, a mysterious Hunter named Rev. Through him, everything she thinks she knows, and everything she stands for, is challenged in ways she never imagined.

Review:

Spiral X is a very well written story in the vampire hunter genre. The vamps in question are not sparkly little boyfriend types but instead blood drinkers bent on re-asserting their position at the top of the food chain. In a slightly different twist from the normal undead vamps that we are used to, this version of a vampire is possessed of a demonic spirit which entered the victims near/at death, otherwise they are very like the typical evil vamps of literature.

Cheryl Erikson is the main vampire hunter that this story focuses on; however, we do meet a few more including government types throughout the course of the tale. Cheryl is spoiled rich kid that has no need to work, due to an inheritance, and at night she hunts the vampires vigilante style as revenge for the death of her father. This story is well written and entertaining even in the face of hundreds of other vampire tales. It has some mysteries within it which remain unanswered hinting that a series could be in the future. The characters of Cheryl and her trusty cyber-sidekick Virgil are nicely developed and well supported by the characters of Tank and Father Harold. Together they make a wonderful vampire hunting team that could, in fact, make a lovely TV series.

With tons of action from beginning to end, this is a book that fans of the vampire lore will thrill to consume.

The Detective’s Lover is an erotic, multicultural romance. It's filled with plenty of action, conflict, and suspense. The suspense is dark and edgy, but makes for a great read.

I enjoyed Fallon and Ian's story. The emotions of the characters were fleshed out well, but the characterization could have been done a little more. There were a few times where I got lost and confused, and had to go back to make sure I didn't miss something.

Overall, I found this to be a good romantic suspense novel. Interracial romances are always interesting to read about because it blends two different worlds together and leaves the characters to adapt to different situations.

If you enjoy suspense, romance, plenty of love scenes to make your toes curl, then don't miss The Detective’s Lover.
