Blurb/Summary:

The Rock

Desired by men and women, Eli’s good looks make sexual conquest easy until he attends a party at the Supernatural Museum, where they land him in deep trouble. He says no to the wrong women, and his punishment is to learn the ultimate meaning of loneliness.

The Stone Maiden

Much to her family’s disappointment, not only is Pepper single but she works a hard and dirty job as an apprentice stonemason. Pepper loves bringing stone to life with her chisel but struggles with the isolation that comes with being different. Then there’s her attraction to her boss, Alessandro, who appears to prefer men. When Eli materializes out of nowhere, Pepper can hardly believe her eyes. Now she’s caught between a rock and a hard place.

The Hard Place

His hands hardened by years training to become a master stonemason, Alessandro is an expert at his craft, but not in matters of the heart. A daily frustration when he’s in hopelessly in love with Pepper and the man of his dreams has disappeared. As Alessandro’s team begins to restore the Supernatural Museum, he, Pepper, and Eli are drawn into the building’s secrets and risk losing everything they hold dear.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, ménage (m/m/f).

Review:

Rocked by Barbara Elsborg is an interesting read. Pepper a young woman works as a stone mason apprentice for Alessandro, a man she is attracted to but doesn’t approach. Her twin sister and family don’t treat her kind. Upon chance she sees Eli who comes to life only inside buildings and returns to gargoyle statue when under the open sky. Alessandro thinks she’s mad, but that doesn’t stop him from pursuing her.

Eli can’t believe he’s stuck in stone or what happened to have him cursed. All he knows is his body hungers for satiation each time he awakens. His blood burns for Pepper and Alessandro if they’ll have him. He also itches to find the supernatural connection to the museum he normally perches on. With people out to take the statue back, Alessandro will find those in his employ he can’t trust.

The three of them find burning passion together and more while working together to make Eli a man once more. Pepper searches to find more about herself and what draws her to the unknown. The end of the story was surprising in a way that made me go hmm. Although I didn’t find the ending plausible it was still ad intriguing read.

Blurb/Summary:

How far can you fall? Caspar had once shone brighter than any star in the sky. He led an exciting life, had a good job and the love of his family. Now he barely survives in a village where he’s shunned by everyone, even his parents. Unemployed, unemployable, he consoles himself with stringless sex—lots of it.

How hard can you land? Ally escapes death by a whisker when she falls in front of a train. Not an accident, someone pushed her, and she doesn’t hang around to give them another shot. But she finds herself falling in a different way when she meets Caspar, and she plummets hard and fast. He’s dark, he’s brooding, he’s hotter than any man she’s ever met, and she wants him—bad.

How high can they soar? With Ally’s adversary closing in, plus Caspar’s tendency to screw things up, if they don’t open their arms and catch each other, they’ll burn up in an atmosphere determined to keep them apart.

Review:

Kiss A Falling Star is a moving mountains type of read. Caspar was hard to read at first, all I saw was a playboy who wanted nothing to do but screw anything moving. He didn’t make himself too easy to like or to want to get to know. It was even hard to feel sorry for him, because I didn’t know what led him to the dire straits he found himself in.

When Ally shows up and immediately falls for the sexy brooding testosterone driven man, my protective instincts reared up. I cringed thinking he’d end up breaking her heart…and then the most interesting thing happened. Something in Ally broke through the steel iron door preventing me from seeing the possibilities our hero could have. She defied the community and made her own observations.

Through the accidents that weren’t accidents at all I grew to fall in love with Ally and how she loved a man and saw the depths of a man no one else took the time to, not even myself the reader. I wasn’t sure what was happening in Ally’s life for anyone to wish her ill and the villain did a damned good job staying out of the limelight to the point I thought it must’ve been a series of accidents.

I really enjoyed all aspects of this story and plan on revisiting it on a rainy day when I need a good thriller yet satisfying, finding love in obvious places.

Blurb/Summary:
Single on a couples’ getaway? Not the way to spend a vacation skiing the Alps.

Allie, the odd woman out, leaves the couples behind as she takes a tour under a glacier and ends up trapped in the dark. Cold and alone, she resigns herself to a night of misery. But when Zach finds unclaimed skis after the mountain has closed, he follows his instincts and charges to the rescue, bringing more than a helping hand.

He brings enough heat to melt the polar icecaps and change her life forever.

Review:

Allie feels like the fifth wheel on her getaway with her friends, so while off on a cave exploration she is left behind and while trying to get out she finds herself trapped. With no help in site she starts to wonder if she is hearing things when Zach finds her. Zach knew that his gut feeling was right when he saw the skis on the side of the building, and when he finds Allie he is so mesmerized by her he almost forgets she is trapped. But Zach has a lot of secrets and no matter what his heart says he is scared that Allie won't be able to see past them.

Barbara Elsborg has written a wonderfully sweet story about a guy who is trying to hide from the world while he has some R&R, and was not expecting to find a wonderful "for keeps" type of woman. Allie is a funny, laugh out loud, sweet woman who isn't looking for forever, but is so very excited when she feels like she has found it. This is a great quickie story if you are in the mood to put a smile on your face, you will want to make this a must read.

Blurb/Summary:

Archaeologist Beck isn’t expecting much to come out of this summer’s dig. While his colleague spends the summer in Italy, Beck draws the short straw supervising a group of archaeology students excavating on the grounds of Hartington Hall in Yorkshire. Little does Beck realize when he saves a redhead from the attentions of an amorous ram, that this accident-prone female will throw his ordered life into chaos.

The last thing Flick needs in her life is a digger, because some secrets are meant to stay buried. Very deep. But Beck is irresistible. She’d love to get him into bed, though after the incident at the swimming pool, the collapsing wall, the snake bite and the unexploded bomb—a hospital bed looks more likely. As their relationship lurches from one disaster to another, Beck has to delve deep to get to the bottom of this irrepressible redhead.

One thing is clear—you never know quite what you’re going to find when you start digging.

Review:

Digging Deeper is a fantastic funny story of Flick, who is a remarkable woman whose life is full of problems and it only seems to be getting worse.

From taking care of her irresponsible sister putting her through college, to losing her job and working an endless number of odd jobs to make ends meet. So when Flick meets Beck that is exactly what she doesn’t need.

Or is it?

Barbara Elsborg wrote a amazingly funny and sweet story of two people who are very attracted to each other but are not sure is hidden secrets in their lives can be overcome. I went from laughing out loud, to tears filled with emotion of Flick and her troubles.

I absolutely loved this story and recommend it to all you romantics at heart. A definite must read.
