Review:

The final book in the Nocturne Academy series did not disappoint. This is Avery and Saint’s story and is full of teenage boy angst, curses, and family drama. Drake and Danger is a YA story and does not contain explicit content but does cover mature themes.

Evangeline Anderson does a wonderful job of bringing to light the difficulties facing the LGBTQ+ community not only from their own family but society. If you have read the other three previous books, then you will understand that they have a “found and made” family from the coven they have all formed. Everyone needs support through life and this story is a good example.

All the original characters play a role in Avery and Saint’s story. Both the characters and readers get a closer look at both boy’s living situations at home. The story has non-stop action and is quite the page-turner.

In the final author notes, Evangeline Anderson, states that this will probably be the last story. She makes sure that we know they will all support one another going forward as a family. The ending is both a HEA and HFN. 

I really enjoyed this final story.

Review:

Great beginning book to what looks like a promising series with fun characters set in a unique town. Falling for Fangs is a paranormal romance with the paranormal part still being hidden from most of the population. Crowley Lake is set in Australia so be prepared for some quirky terms and phrases from that country.

The two main characters are polar opposites, but then the saying that opposites attract completely applies to Maxwell Davidson and Chloe Bloom. Maxwell is a care-free playboy that would like nothing better than to play poker and hang out with his friends. That all changes when he meets Chloe. She’s a workaholic that sets extremely aggressive goals for herself. Their relationship is one of slow-burning desire that ignites a fire the more they get to know one another.

I really enjoyed Maxwell and Chloe’s journey. Falling for Fangs is a complete story with no cliff-hangers. The town of Crowley Lake is filled with some interesting characters that will have me coming back to visit.

Review:

A must read for all the Accidental Series fans!  Dakota Cassidy has a way of making the characters come to life in her books so that the reader feels with them, laughing and crying out loud.  There was much more laughter than crying in this book.

Two new characters are added to the Accidental family, Poppy McGuillicuddy and Rick Delassantos.  Poppy is accidentally turned into a familiar and assigned to be Rick’s warlock familiar.  Rick is not over-joyed with the idea of having a familiar again and it takes a little bargaining on Poppy’s part to convince Rick to give her a chance.  In no time at all Poppy is smack dab in the middle of a magical crisis. 

It takes all the OOPs girls, their entourage, and Rick to keep Poppy alive.  Poppy is one head-strong lady.  Nothing is going to stop her from succeeding and planning a future.  She’s hoping that there will be a certain warlock in her future, but she has to survive the magical crisis to find out.  Readers will fall in love with Rick and Poppy! 

The Accidental Familiar is filled with lots of magic and mayhem.  Plenty of plot twists and turns to keep you glued to the pages.  There is also a pleasant surprise at the end.  Read the story to find out what is in store next for the OOPs girls!

Review:

Be My Warlock Tonight is the third in the Darklander stories continued in the auction house. At the same time this story gave me insight into the Darklander land itself with talk of covens, curses and law.

Cindy and Lance both had their work cut out for them. When Cindy found herself bespelled by a warlock, I was intrigued to see what would come of it. From there the story grew in depth, giving answers to the ‘curse’ and the way to break it. Lance and Cindy’s passion rocked. Add a fire breathing drakon and a witch in distress, that isn’t Cindy and it spells trouble, something which Lance wasn’t afraid of tackling. I enjoyed Sasha’s interaction in this story more so since she had more of a hand in it as Lance’s sister.

There were a few things that also drew me away from the story. I would have liked to see more individuality with Lance that set him apart from the other heroes and a smoother ending; it as well felt a bit rushed. I enjoyed the magic in this story and finding out more about the Darklander world with these two.
