Summary:

For Red Hood, it's been a long journey to Grandma's house. Her escape to big-city life is not what she had expected; the hustle and bustle of metropolis has left her feeling alienated and more of a freak than she could have imagined. Torrent, the town where she grew up, on the other hand, has so much more to offer--friends, family and acceptance of her 'special' breed of talent.

Red quickly makes up her mind to return home. The warm embrace of her parents and grandmother are alluring, but the mysterious stranger she bumps into on the path to Grandma's might just sweeten the deal.

Excerpt:

“Nice to meet you Red Hood, I am Ethan Wolfe.” Red started to laugh so hard, she almost toppled again. If Ethan had not been holding her hand and caught her under the elbow she would have. The tingling sensations in her fingertips from his touch had her sobering fast. She hadn't felt an instant attraction to a man in a long time. Ethan looked at her as if she had lost her mind.

“I am sorry, but the story of Little Red Riding Hood just popped into my head there. Red and the Wolfe?” She smiled. “My grandmother always told me the big, bad wolf was going to find me on the path and want to keep me for himself someday.”

Ethan smiled at her, a wide, hungry smile.

Red took another step back.

“Well I was on my way to my grandmother's house, so I think I had better get there. It was nice to meet you Ethan Wolfe.” Red took off at a brisk pace for her grandma's house.

Ethan watched Red Hood walk away from him, the wicked smile unwaning. Grandma always told her that the big, bad wolf would want to keep her, did she? Well Grandma did not know how right she was. Ethan was definitely going to keep her for himself and he was the biggest, baddest wolf around. Ethan licked his lips as he watched the gentle sway of Red’s hips as she walked away. He and his wolf had both smelled the scent of an orgasm on her hand. The thought of her pleasuring herself hardened his cock until it pressed against the seam of his zipper. He felt his palms sweat at the thought and a rush of heat throughout his body. He found her absolutely delightful—from the melody of her laugh, to the gravel in her voice, to the tiniest glint of passion and fear he had seen in her beautiful blue eyes.

Blurb/Summary:

Jillian has worked hard to close the doors on her past and the psychic abilities that defined her youth. For sixteen years, she’s ignored the ghosts who still try to whisper to her. Even her controlling husband Kyle has no idea that his wife can talk to spirits. But on the day after Christmas, her great aunt’s car smashes head-on with a commuter train and Jillian finds herself on a collision course with ghosts who refuse to remain in the shadows any longer. Long-hidden secrets are coming to light and Jillian’s life has to change to accommodate them. With the help of her friends and a substantial inheritance, she sets her life in a new direction, but Kyle’s not about to lose out on his share of Jillian’s inheritance—even if he has to kill her to get it.

Review:

Unfolding the Shadows is an engaging, suspenseful story with many twists and turns within the plot. I could not put this down. It starts off with Jillian, the main character, who is married with children. In the beginning, she seems to be a very troubled woman who is not happy with her life but doesn't take the steps to change that. But after an accident, she returns home and the pieces fall into place. She has a gift that she has ignored for years, but while back in New Jersey, the gift has returned, and it helps her on the journey to discovering secrets.

This book has so many surprises and keeps the reader at the edge of their seat, hanging on every word. Along with the fast paced suspense, there is a splash of romance, and Jillian's changes in her life make her a whole new person at the end of the book.

Highly enjoyable! Readers who are looking for a suspenseful read with touch of paranormal, then you don't want to miss Katie O'Sullivan's Unfolding the Shadows.

Blurb/Summary:

Talented, down-on-her-luck puppeteer Ginnie Anderson’s life seems destined to fall down around her ears. Much like the rented bungalow that’s just collapsed in a heavy rainstorm, endangering her precious collection of marionettes.

Her livelihood in need of protection and repair, she can’t refuse her landlord’s offer of temporary shelter in his magnificent home. Under his roof, though, she finds her hard-won grasp on her independence slipping—and herself falling into his arms.

The hallmark of Harry Barrett’s business success: he never makes the same mistake twice, particularly when it comes to manipulative women. So why is Ginnie, who pulls strings for a living, like a siren’s song in his blood? It’s best to put temptation as far out of reach as possible.

Yet when Ginnie’s past threatens to destroy the life she’s built for herself, Harry must decide which is more important. Holding tight to his sense of self preservation, or letting go to capture Ginnie’s fragile heart—before it breaks into a thousand pieces.

Warning: Contains sizzling sex between a powerful hero who likes to be in control, and a heroine whose talented hands teach him the pleasure of giving up the reins.

Review:

In Hands On, Christina Crooks creates a romantic comedy out of a down on her luck woman. I found this story to be heart-warming, touching and all around fun!

The narrative and descriptive scenes gave me a wonderful visual of the story in my mind. This is the kind of story that will remind the reader that even in bad times, good things happen. I loved reading about Ginnie and Harry.

The author has a wonderful voice and style. If you need a break from the everyday life and want a refreshing and delightful read, then Hands On is a story you don't want to miss.

Blurb/Summary:

Previous Book: Kidnapped

Alex and Haley had a perfect relationship. They were madly in love and engaged to be married. But when Lucian enters there life they both start to realize that something was missing…him. The three of them must work together to solve a case. Alex and Haley are humans while Lucian is the vampire tracking a vampire committing murders. Lucian tells the pair that they are all three life mates.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, ménage (m/m/f).

Review:

This book will captivate you from the first line. I started reading and finished this short novel in less than an hour because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I wanted to know how Alex and Haley would accept Lucian into their union. I couldn’t wait to see them together as pairs and then as a threesome.

Alex is a sweet guy, he love’s foreplay; he loves to make his woman happy. Lucian is more spicy and possessive, sometimes he loves it rough. Haley is a woman who desires both and now she can have that with both of her men.

Ms. James is an author I have loved for a while, her books always entertain and she definitely didn’t disappoint this admiring fan. I’m always looking for more of her work.

Not only was this a spicy erotic tale centered around sex and sharing your emotions around sex, but it offered drama and real problems. I love that with erotic romances. I love the steamy sex scenes as well as the chase to find the bad guy or fix a broken heart or fix a past mistake. You can find so many dynamics with this book. If you love vampires, love and sex than you will most certainly love this book.

Thank you Jade James for another pleasurable read.

But the bliss is short lived when trouble arrives at the doorstep with one thought in mind—to kill Billie. Forced to run for her life, Billie is a woman used to taking care of herself and although she’s deeply attracted to Dare, she knows she has to find her own way out of the danger that surrounds her. But time and again, she finds Dare at her side, protecting her and giving her the most satisfying, mouth watering sex she’s ever had. How can a girl say no to that?

Review:

In Dirty Little Secrets, the beginning started off great. The story hooked me immediately. Then after the first few chapters I was a little bit confused on some parts, the story seemed to jump around some.

I didn't connect to the heroine well. She was headstrong and feisty, but I didn't feel a lot of emotion from her. The storyline was great, had a lot of suspense, even if at times it jumped around.

Temple Hogan has a great voice. The pacing went up and down, but all around not bad. The cover is intriguing, it really caught my eye. Dirty Little Secrets is a suspenseful, action-type romance.

Blurb/Summary:

Livvy thought she lost her chance for a Happily Ever After when she dismissed the wish fairy who knocked on her door, so when a prime specimen of masculinity appears on her front lawn one stormy night, she can’t quite believe it. Like a prince in distress, he needs her kiss to bring him out of his enchanted sleep.

After a war injury left him paralyzed, Joe Kimball never expected to walk again, but when he regains the use of his legs thanks to his sexy neighbor, he can’t argue when she insists the credit belongs to a wish fairy. Nor does he want to. Arguing is the last thing on his mind now that he is a whole man again.

Unfortunately, a few days of hot sex do not a fairy-tale ending make, and as the magic becomes increasingly volatile, Joe and Livvy realize there’s much more at stake than just their happiness.

Review:

Once Upon a Kiss is not a fairy-tale for kids! With a mixture of heart warming moments, steamy sex scenes, and magic, Kate Willoughby delivers an absolute delightful read!

The characters are quirky and loveable. Add in some wishes and strange predicaments that will have the reader smiling; this is a story to brighten up someone's day.

It's a total keeper. It's highly enjoyable, and I devoured every bit of it. This is the kind of story that you want to know how it ends, but at the same time, you don't want it to end.

If you're looking for a sensual fairy tale type story, then pick up Once Upon a Kiss, and fall in love with it just as I did.

Review:

Trouble In a Stetson is the second book in the Sequins, Saddles, and Spurs Series. The featured heroine is Lola, who takes a job as a waitress, and becomes involved with the Sheriff, Sam.

I loved this story. The setting is in a small town, the characters breathe life in the pages, and the writing is so vivid and clear I could picture it all in my mind, even the accents.

The road to Lola and Sam's happily ever after is a wonderful one, filled with ups and downs, scenes that will take a reader's breath away, and scenes that will make your heart pitter-patter.

Emotional, touching, and sensual, that's what's in this journey in Regina Carlysle's novella.

Blurb/Summary:

Serena Little Feather is hoping to reconnect with her heritage when she agrees to house-sit on the Lower Brule Sioux Reservation. She just never realized how close to the past she’d get.

At night, Serena hears a flute playing behind the house. The music is haunting and seductive, rousing intense feelings of lust. But music isn’t the only lust-inspiring thing in her life. Her neighbor Chayton is dark and sexy, but she’s been warned against him. She doesn’t know which scares her more—the overwhelming pull of the music or her attraction to the bad boy.

Chayton wants his beautiful neighbor. Their kisses sizzle and their touches burn, but the music she’s hearing worries him. Legend tells of a Sioux brave who’d lured many women with his flute playing. He’d seduced them and cast them aside—until he was found dead with a knife in his stone heart. It was said that the brave’s spirit still roamed the countryside, playing his songs and looking for love. Every so often, a pretty girl responded. Chayton fears that this time, the pretty girl is Serena.

Review:

Haunting, chilling, Ghost Flute is a romantic tale full of legends, mystery, and fiery sparks between the hero and heroine. The cover is inviting, and readers won't be disappointed if they're the type to love a good ghost story with a happy ending.

Review:

Best Little Spin Wash in Texas is an irresistible, charming read. That being said, I did have a few issues. I think that the story could have gone on longer, with much more description and a few holes filled. The premise of the story really intrigued me, but I felt as if things could have been explained more.

The writing is good, the story line kept me going and I finished it quickly. The first few chapters when Molly and Jon met up at the spin wash, they couldn't keep their hands off each other, and then a few chapters in came the real shocking part of the story, one I didn't expect!

Readers will be taken on a wild chase to find the answers along with Molly and John.
