Blurb/Summary:

It’s me again, Stevie Cartwright. Powerless ex-witch, pseudo medium, and amateur sleuth, reporting to you live from the case of the missing ex-British spy turned ghost/quite possibly one of the most important people to ever become a part of my life.

You read that right. As Win and I and all the gang were busy planning our big Thanksgiving bash, he suddenly disappeared (right in the middle of telling me what a Philistine I am for even suggesting Cheez Whiz and crackers), and it’s as if he never existed.

Poof—he’s just gone! No one can find him, not even Arkady, our ghostly pal and confidant on Plane Limbo.

If I ever needed to make good use of everything my British spy ever taught me about sleuthing, it’s right now. But I run into roadblock after roadblock until I’m almost sure all hope is lost, and I’ll never hear his voice again.

Worse, how will I ever live with myself if I never get the chance to tell him how I feel?

Review:

This is what fans of the Witchless in Seattle series have been waiting for!  Without giving too much away and spoiling your adventure this book was amazing!

Book eight will run you through an emotional gamut.  I wept through the last half of the book.  The anger at Stevie’s coven and leader was palpable.  I was going crazy hysterical in my head during the climax and confrontation near the end.  However, the author left me in a pleasant haze with a hopeful future.

Witch Way Did He Go? is book eight and of course part of a series meant to be read in order.  Readers will feel lost without reading the previous books which add the background and relationship building needed to feel emotionally connected to these characters.

I cannot wait to see what Dakota Cassidy has in store for future stories involving Stevie, Win, Arkady, and Bel!

Kudos to Dakota Cassidy’s cover artist, Renee George, the cover art on this series is absolutely beautiful!

Blurb/Summary:

Trixie Lavender here, ex-nun on the run with her demon friends Coop and Livingston the talking owl in tow!

Things have been going really well for us at our tattoo shop in Cobbler Cove, a district in the heart of Portland, Oregon. We’re making friends with our fellow shop owners, enjoying serving our community, and really getting to know our new friends, Higgs, Knuckles, and Goose.

When we’re invited to a Halloween party at the Peach Street Shelter, how can we resist spending some time with our favorite ex-undercover police officer turned shelter owner Higgs, on a day that involves candy and costumes?

Unfortunately, the day also involves a murder, a spooky urban myth spreading like wildfire among the homeless population about an organ-stealing-madman, and of course, my testy and unpredictable demonic possession…

Join me, Coop, Higgs and the rest of the gang as we relentlessly hunt for answers to the murder of a local dentist and the legend of The Organ Grinder!

Review:

Readers will enjoy their return visit to Cobbler Cove.  Murder and mayhem seem to find Trixie and Coop no matter where they are.  They can’t even go to a Halloween party without someone turning up murdered.

We learn more about Trixie’s demon and he has some new tricks that leave Trixie and Coop confused.  Trixie and Coop’s relationships in the town are growing and developing.  The sexual tension and teasing between Higgs and Trixie is adorable.

House of the Rising Nun is a great mystery that had me guessing and doubting throughout the story.  This is a page turner!  Make sure you give yourself enough time to read because once you start you won’t want to stop.

Dianna Love, Stalking His Mate: League of Gallize Shifters

 Blurb/Summary:

New York Times bestseller Dianna Love's Gallize shifters are back with an action packed adventure, a sexy love story and a twist no one saw coming.

Having spent her life as a captive, Siofra escapes when her power surfaces to save her from an attack, which exposes her as a nonhuman. All she wants to do is find her brother who is also being hunted, then vanish to live free from shifters. That was the plan and it would have worked if a golden-eyed jaguar shifter hadn’t stepped between her and a dangerous jackal, throwing a major kink in her escape when she falls for the sexy protector.

Rory didn’t choose to be a jaguar shifter and is determined to not mate even though he faces death from the Gallize mating curse if he doesn’t. The end may come sooner than he expects when his jaguar loses the ability to heal them, but that doesn’t prevent Rory from racing in to save a young woman from a vicious predator. The moment Siofra is in his arms and his power reaches out to hers, he struggles against the primal pull of the one woman he’s drawn to as a mate. Even if he didn’t feel the need to end his bloodline, she hates shifters.

None of that will matter if Rory fails to stop the deadly Black River Pack from using Siofra in a grisly experiment when she’s caught in a trap.

Review:

You will love Rory’s jaguar, Ferral the drama cat.  He is hilarious and had me laughing out loud even when the situation was dire.  Ferral brought levity to the story.

Rory is completely conflicted over being a shifter and can’t separate past events and his guilt.  Siofra has been a slave most of her life and has never gotten a chance to really experience any kind of freedom.  These two characters pull at your heart-strings and play on your emotions.

Siofra’s journey to find her brother leads her to Rory.  Both are helpless to the pull they feel towards each other, but they still both fight it.  Rory’s protective side comes out and he wants Siofra to experience life and freedom, even if it can’t be with him.

Their journey to each other is filled with potholes and speedbumps.  An ancient enemy has designs for Siofra.  Rory’s team has been trying to take down the Black River Pack, but Siofra’s plan to protect herself lands her in more hot water with the Gallize.  Jackals and Wolves are hunting Siofra.  Siofra’s brother has disappeared.  Rory’s guilt is a certain death sentence.  And if that isn’t enough, Siofra has power but no idea how to control it.

Read the story to find out how Siofra and Rory deal with the potholes and speedbumps.  Can they fill them in and sail over them?  Or do they sink and wreck?

This is a great installment to the series!

I received an ARC for an honest review.
