 Blurb/Summary:

New York Times Bestseller Dianna Love wraps up the exciting Slye Temp romantic thriller series with FATAL PROMISE, Gage and Sabrina’s story that readers have been asking for since the beginning.

When a rogue CIA assassin threatens her Slye Agency family, Sabrina goes after him before he can harm another person on her team. She’s armed, dangerous and in no mood to take prisoners, but the lead she follows exposes the tip of a deadly international threat and adds a new name to the rogue agent’s hit list… Gage, Sabrina’s former CIA handler--and lover.

Gage has waged war on Sabrina’s emotional walls over the past year after she returned from being betrayed during a bloody mission that left her suspicious of everyone in the agency, starting with him. There’s a contract on her head, but keeping Sabrina safe until he can terminate the threat is easier said than done. As one of the deadliest operatives he’s ever met, Sabrina bends to no one’s will. No woman has ever gotten to him the way she has and he wants her back in his arms, but that isn’t going to happen unless they survive this mission. With only one hope of stopping a megalomaniac from starting a third world war, survival depends upon Gage convincing Sabrina to trust him in every way, including her heart.

*This is the final book in the Slye Temp series, but there will be a new romantic suspense series - HAMR Brotherhood - which will include Slye Temp characters who still have more story to tell.

Review:

Fatal Promise is a fantastic conclusion to the Slye Temp Series by Dianna Love.  If you have been following this series then you will have an understanding of the story line that has prevailed throughout all the books.  Fatal Promise nicely wraps up the Orion Legacy plot line leaving the reader very satisfied.

We get to see all our favorite characters from previous books make an appearance to help out Sabrina and Gage put down a threat to all of their safety.  There is non-stop action from the very beginning until the end which kept me glued to the pages.  The plot is fast moving and fraught with danger.  There are some heart-stopping and heart-pounding situations that Sabrina and Gage find themselves in.

All that adrenaline leads to some steamy scenes between Gage and Sabrina.  They have to work off that excess energy somehow!  Between the gun fights, kidnapping, and burglary the reader is left hanging as to how these two could possible compose a relationship that could last.

Gage and Sabrina are two peas in a pod with their stubborn attitude and protective streaks a mile long.  When they partner to thwart their common enemy the two have to do some soul searching and face the emotions they have both kept locked up out of fear.  All the drama makes for a wonderful romantic suspense.

I highly recommend Fatal Promise and the Slye Temp Series, you will not be disappointed.

Sinful South, book 2.

Inside Scoop: Lucy is a curvy heroine who has never felt beautiful until she finds herself in Dalton’s strong arms. However, her memories of abuse and his protective instincts may be triggers for some readers with the same background.
A Romantica® contemporary erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Review:

Sinful Southern Hero is the second book in the Sinful South series and can be read as a standalone.  S.J. Drum has done a great job in this story about Lucy and Dalton.

Lucy is running from her abusive ex and the parents who didn't believe her and chose his side.  Lucy picks Clifton, Tennessee as the place to start her new life, what she didn't expect was Dalton and his all too hard to handle Alpha attitude.  What Lucy does know is that her life is about to change and she doesn't know if she is ready.

Dalton’s life just got tipped upside down by a cute little package named Lucy and he will overcome anything to make her his forever.
After a slight misunderstanding between the both of them they must decide if what they have is worth fighting for.  S.J. Drum did an excellent job with every aspect of this story, I truly enjoyed it and felt all the emotion Lucy had to fight or embrace to figure out what she really wanted.  Dalton was one hundred percent Alpha, and sometimes I wanted to smack him upside the head, but in a loving way.  There is a great flow to the story and the characters are very well developed and the secondary characters are also engaging and funny.  All in all, this story is very well written and I look forward to the other stories to come from the series and also the author.

Blurb/Summary:
[Men in Uniform Series]

Two broken hearts find a second chance at love, but only if they manage to survive--

When Kendi Morgan witnesses an attempted murder near her home one night, she makes the only choice possible: help the victim. But bringing the handsome stranger into her home traps her in the middle of a deadly drug war.

Wounded DEA agent Jackson Taylor is a man with nothing to lose and nothing to fear--until he falls for a beautiful woman who risked everything to save his life.

With his sting operation gone awry, Jackson realizes he is all that stands between Kendi and a powerful drug lord seeking revenge. Can their newfound love survive? Or will Jackson sacrifice his partner's life and his own in exchange for Kendi's safety and their future together?

Review:

This was a bittersweet story; both protagonists came from horrible pasts.  As a DEA agent, Jackson’s story was especially difficult to read. The plot moved quickly, perhaps too quickly some might think but this story’s entirety spanned less than two weeks so, the reader must take that into consideration.

The attraction between Jack and Kendi spiked immediately; this reader had a difficult time believing they’d act upon that attraction as quickly as they did, given Jack’s physical limitation.  Oh well….lust! There were several nice plot twists, concerning Jack’s partner and the resolution.

This reader struggled with the graphic details of Jack’s past and of his torture under the hands of the drug lord.  While necessary to the story, be warned.  This was a quick and ultimately, interesting read.

Blurb/Summary:

In the heart of the redwoods, a madman waits...

Recovering from a broken engagement and determined to start over, Brooke Wakefield flees to her grandmother's home deep in the redwood forest. Discovering her teenage crush lives next door is a less than auspicious beginning. The last thing she needs is another man to break her heart, but every time Dillon glances her way, her heat level soars.

Dillon Tremayne isn't looking for a relationship. With a young son, an eccentric grandfather, and a logging company running him ragged, he can't afford any romantic entanglements. But Brooke's humor and strength are hard to resist.

When a woman from his past is brutally murdered and another disappears, Dillon is heartsick—and terrified the killer will target Brooke next. Can Brooke and Dillon find love in the heart of the forest? Or will a madman's twisted dream destroy their chance at happiness?

Review:

What an amazing book!  This one had it all: mystery, crazy serial murderer, love realized, a strong female protagonist, sexy former (widowed with adorable child) crush….who could ask for more?

This book had just the right combination of believable relationships between Brooke and Dillon as well as between Brooke and her Grandma.  The plot points led up to the climax beautifully; the suspense kept me wanting to turn the pages to find out who’d be next. While the outcome and resolution was inevitable, this reader was not disappointed at all!

Blurb/Summary:

You can run, but you can't hide from love...

Cole Roberts has been unlucky in love—twice—and he's sworn not to get involved again. Renovating the New Mexico family horse business into a guest ranch is a good distraction, until the ranch's new masseuse arrives. Captivating but secretive, the brown-eyed beauty intrigues him.

Three years ago, Lindy Grainger testified against a murderer and landed in witness protection. Her latest identity is masseuse at a guest ranch, but how long before she must reinvent herself—again? She can't get involved with anyone, no matter how big-hearted and charming he is.

Cole's heart can't take another rejection. Lindy has to steer clear of relationships. But as their attraction grows, a murderer bent on revenge closes in, and Lindy must trust Cole with her secret or lose him. Will the truth set her free, or tear them apart?

Review:

Is the third time the charm?  Cole really doesn't want to find out.  But with a woman as elusive, secretive, and sweet as Lindy, it's hard not to let his heart involve himself with this woman.

It isn't an easy thing for Lindy to trust, either.  Her life is in total uproar and she has to keep moving to be safe.  She's scared, frustrated, and yes, alone.  But how can she allow a man to be close to her when her life is on the line?

Tularosa Moon is great western feel romantic suspense.  The characters have been definitely well thought out as the plot unfolds, my heart kept pounding wildly.  This is a great suspenseful love story!

Blurb/Summary:

When Stacey Moreno goes undercover on Evergreen Island, she's looking for answers to a friend's mysterious death, not trouble. After all, Stacey's not adventuresome--she lives vicariously through her cartoon creations and can't tell left from right. But from the moment she moves into spooky Redfern Manor and meets her sexy new boss, trouble starts and sparks fly.

Hobbled by injuries from a plane crash, former journalist Mack Warren came to Redfern Manor looking for escape, not romance. He intends to focus on the biography he's writing of the manor's former occupant and ignore the strange feelings his lively new assistant inspires.

As Stacey digs for answers, she's drawn to her mysterious boss, but he is obsessed with a ghost. With danger drawing near, can Stacey persuade Mack to face the shadows from the past that threaten to destroy their future?

Review:

A spooky house, an old friend dying under strange circumstances....it makes for a suspense novel that while short, it keeps the pace intense until the riveting climax.  Shadows From The Past is a great story that pulled me in immediately. It's haunting, suspenseful, and enjoyable.  Stacey just wants to get to the bottom of her friend's death.  What awaits Stacey are many surprises and even a shot at love.  Mack is mysterious, which draws me to him.  I wondered how he'd finally open up to Stacey.  The town and the house she stays at is full of secrets.  Rebecca Grace has created a thrilling ride with this story.  I had no idea what I would find out next and I rooted for Stacey to find out why her friend died.  If you're a fan of romantic suspense, Shadows From The Past is top notch!  Don't miss it!

Detective Riley Donavan believes the pretty doctor knows more than she's telling him. Can they work together to solve the murder of her brother, or will they end up the next victims of the crime lord?

Review:
How well do you ever know someone, even those that are supposed to be close to you?  Jordan Scott learns the answer to that question when one thing leads to another and sends her life spiralling into a nightmare.

Mary Eason turns up the suspense and the emotion in this spine-tingling suspense novel.  I couldn't wait to find out what happens next.  Jordan is under the influence of a powerful man and I hoped from the start that she'd make her getaway.  The pulse pounding tension kept the pages turning faster, and it didn't take me long to finish this book.  It's a fast paced thrill ride that I won't soon forget.

In order to smother this dark, sinister spirit, and perhaps find true and lasting happiness with each other, the living must learn to let go, give in, and leave their ghosts in the past.

Content Warning: Contains sensual sex and some explicit language

Review:
It's not over until the rock star dies...No, that's definitely not the case.  This isn't a rock and roll fantasy, it's hell.  And when it's time to break free, the hell only gets worse.

You can envy Josie all you want, but if anyone knew the truth, the heartbreaking secret she bears, one would know that being the wife of a famous star isn't all it's cracked up to be.  But Josie is strong enough now, she's ready to go.  But that won't stop her husband.

A Death That Lingers thrills.  The plot was crafted to keep readers begging for more.  A little dark, a little paranormal, the author has created a story that keeps us on our toes.  You won't know what to expect next.  If you enjoy a well written story, A Death That Lingers is one you should add to your list.

The Mob…A Saudi prince… Assassins…The police…

All chasing Amber Norris because they believe she has the Blue Diamond: a priceless Saudi heirloom that her ex-husband supposedly gave her before he was murdered. On the run with her young daughter, Amber’s only hope for survival is Detective Cody Maguire. But only if she can convince him she didn’t steal the diamond or murder her ex.

Despite the evidence stacked against her, Cody knows Amber is innocent of murder—professional assassins killed her husband—but his instincts tell him she knows more than she’s telling about the jewel. Too bad his heart is telling him something else.

With a bounty on her head and hit men closing in, Amber is running out of time. Can they find the stolen diamond—and their chance at love? Or will Amber’s past destroy them?

Review:
What do you do when everyone is SURE you have something that you don't? Something that people would kill to get back.....

This is Amber's story.  Web of Lies has plenty of suspense and action to keep the reader entertained.  An ex makes a surprise visit, then the police, and then the killers.  It's a tough situation for this young mother.

Christina James does a wonderful job keeping up the suspense and the tension.  The first part of the book, I wasn't too thrilled with Cody, the hero.  He seemed very stuffy and plain out rude.  It is a cop's job to get down to the truth, but the way he did things just didn't make him likable at first.

Overall, the story was great and was filled with many twists and turns that I didn't see coming.  If you enjoy romantic suspense, this is a great story to add to your reading pile.

He wants to help “Ellie” through this difficult time, but she reminds him so much of Beth. Something just doesn’t add up.

Can he discover what secrets the widow is hiding and find the killer before they both end up dead?

Review:

On impulse, Beth makes a decision that she hopes will lead her to finding a killer....

From the get-go, Veiled Mirror grabbed my attention. With plenty of suspense, and a small touch of paranormal, this is one of the best romantic suspense books I've read in a long time. There's deceit, murder, lies...I was left guessing the whole way through. I worried for Beth, cried for her family that died, and was at the edge of my seat, hanging on to every word because I never knew what to expect next.

Frankie Robertson is a new-to-me author, and from my journey with this book, I will be keeping an eye out for more. The characters are so well created, the tension is high and it never wavers. I stayed up late into the night-hours to finish this book. I read it in one sitting, not wanting to miss a thing, yet I didn’t want it to end either.

Kudos to you, Frankie Robertson. You've created an amazing suspenseful story. Readers, if you're a romantic suspense fan, add this book to your list right away.

Blurb/Summary:

What’s a topless dancer to do when a cop tells her to “spread ’em”? Cooperate, of course. Which is exactly what Jazzmyn Monroe does when her big-city dreams land her in a world of trouble and the arms of sexy detective Ryder Muldoon. Jazzmyn is no angel, but she doesn’t expect the rip-roaring, passion-filled rollercoaster ride given by one of L.A.’s finest.

An honest cop with a target painted on his back, Ryder is forced to go rogue if he wants to stay alive, and the hottest woman he’s ever laid eyes on is the key to his plan. It’s supposed to be just business with a side of sex. If only it were that simple. Jazzmyn’s sinful curves and aptitude for red-hot loving ramp up his libido…and a whole lot more.

Review:

I was intrigued by the suspense plot, but there are a few things that fell short with me. I know this is an erotic romance, but I felt in certain places, there was sex just for the sake of having sex. I find it hard to believe that a cop would have sex with a dancer almost immediately after he meets her and needs her information to take down a villain. Because that started out so early on in the story, it took away my trust in the hero. Jazzmyn's character was more believable and likeable.

The plot was riveting enough that I continued to read. I wanted to know how things would end, and what would happen between Jazzmyn and Ryder.

If you like erotic romantic suspense, then you may enjoy Strip Down.
