Yep, life sure has taken a turn. For Kash, who’s always wanted a family after growing up in the system, just him and his brother against the world, this kind and crazy group may not be the family he envisioned…but they’re the family you need when you’re Accidental AF!

Review:

I loved this story so much. The Accidentals Series never disappoints, and Accidental AF knocked it out of the park. This is a story in a long series and there is some background, but I appreciated that the story was mostly filled with non-stop action and discovery. If you are new to the series, this story will give you an overview of who and what the OOPS ladies are all about and have you wanting to read the previous stories.

Kash Samuels and Dr. Scotia McNealy (Scotty) are brand new characters to the series. Kash is the accidental in this story as he was changed during a bar fight. Scotty is the expert doctor in paranormal science even though she’s a human. Their journey to help Kash brings them closer together. Childhood trauma and neglect are shared and even Nina can relate. Kash and Scotty have a slow burn, high chemistry relationship that continues to develop throughout the story.

If you love a good paranormal romance with mystery, action, and humor then check out Accidental AF. I was laughing aloud within the first chapter. Dakota Cassidy addresses many real-life issues and melds them into a paranormal landscape with humor. Accidental AF has a little of everything and a whole lot of love.

I highly recommend this book.

Review:

Shared by the Monstrum starts off on Yonnite Six where Pierced left off. Torin keeps his word and has his commander send Kindred to protect Mirabella. Bonded brothers and Monstrum shifters, Saxon and Lynx, are sent by Commander Rarev.

All three characters have suffered tremendous personal loss. Both Lynx and Mirabella continue to have hope and must convince Saxon that a brighter future is possible. Their journey is one of self-healing and acceptance with added spicy ménage chemistry. 

Mirabella grew up on the other side of the planet and was shown a different family dynamic than that of the Mistress/body slave of Opulex. She is a healer and wants a career. I wonder if her influence and upbringing can provoke and inspire change for the body slaves of the Mistresses in Opulex. It would be interesting to see if there is a notable change in future books.

Shared by the Monstrum has enthusiastic and emotional characters that I would love to see in future stories.

Review:

The main characters Torin and Sky are tasked with catching a serial killer. This story is non-stop action with great plot twists. Sky and Torin have smoking hot chemistry and make a great team.

Their journey to finding the killer also allows for some personal growth. Both characters have their world views challenged and expanded during their quest.

Pierced is a fun story with great characters. It’s a wonderful addition to the Brides of the Kindred series. Evangeline Anderson also lets readers know what she expects to write next, muse willing, at the end of the story.

There is a D/s theme throughout the story and the warning at the beginning is regarding the crime scenes. I personally didn’t have a problem with the scenes, but that doesn’t mean someone else won’t. The crime scenes are part of the story adding an element of horror, but they are not the whole story.

Review:

Punished has great contrasting main characters. Mia grew up in a religious cult and Severith looks like the human version of the devil. He’s enormous and she’s petite. Together they make a great detective team. They are called to investigate a cult on a different world that wants to expand to Earth. Going in they know there will be no back-up, no rescue. The success of the mission hinges on Sev and Mia working together and protecting each other.

The cult has an extremely deviant “Prophet”, and their practices push both Sev and Mia to face their pasts. Boundaries are crashed through as both their lives are at risk. The Kindred Goddess plays a protective role as she must confront a great evil.

Punished has a HFN ending for Sev and Mia. They go through an awful lot to get to that HFN ending! There are some unresolved issues with the cult that would be interesting to see play out in another book. The only thing that, as a reader, I would have liked to see is how Sev and Mia resume their partnership at work.

There are strong D/s themes throughout the story and the author does warn of these kinks.

This is an interesting story with some hard-hitting issues.
