Blurb/Summary:

One hundred grand to babysit bad boy Logan “Phoenix” Taylor on a paradise island—seriously, how bad could he be?

Frankly, it didn’t matter. Not when it would make my dreams of going to nursing school possible. I wasn’t even expected to talk to him, just hang out in a luxurious villa on a private beach and study. Simple, right?

But I hadn’t counted on Logan being so deliciously bad that he was oh so good. And when the temperature cranked to boiling point, he knew just how to satisfy the deepest, darkest part of my soul and give my body exactly what it needed. Amongst the sand and waves, we transported each other to an exquisite world of pleasure where only we existed, only we mattered.

But the heady mix of emotions and lust couldn’t keep things from spiraling out of control back in reality, where I had to keep the secret that I’d been hired to entertain him…even if it shattered my delicate heart. Even if it cost my destiny.

Review:

Brooke takes up a “job”, to spend a week with Logan, to keep him company so he wouldn't go into a complete funk. Brooke is hesitant at first, but the amount of money sounds good and her best friend convinced her to do it. At first, she and Logan don't quite hit it off, but after an incident and spending more time together, Brooke realizes there is so much more to Logan. With erotic, smoking hot love scenes, plenty of tension, and the climax of the story that will pull on many emotions of the reader, Lily Harlem's story is a keeper.

There are times where a book exceeds your expectations. You pick out a book thinking it'll be a good read. Hired completely took me by surprise. I absolutely LOVED this book! The hot factor is high, the characters so real and intriguing, and the journey for Brooke and Logan's happiness a long one. I found myself relating to Brooke many times throughout this story. It made me laugh, made me cry, and kept me engaged the whole time.

I am intrigued by this story and would most definitely check out more titles by the author.
